Jesus also didn’t decry the death sentence passed on the thieves he was crucified with. In fact, the Gospel of Luke is rather explicit about at least one of the thieves admitting that he deserved it and what he got was just.

“And indeed, we have been condemned justly, for the sentence we received corresponds to our crimes, but this man has done nothing criminal.” Luke 23:41.

Tonight the skies over Texas are clearer, the air is sweeter and the stars are bigger and brighter. Justice was served at 1800 CDT in Huntsville. And I am certain that a Voice from Heaven said, "Well done, Texas, well done".
