Today is the day she may walk free. Prepare yourselves.

Call me Pollyanna, but the Judge did give FingerBoy 6 days. Hopefully he has scoured the law so she can cool her heels a little longer.

Here’s a better analogy:

You log on to a conservative website to commiserate with other clear thinking individuals about the outrageous miscarriage of justice in a conniving baby killer case supported by lots of evidence.

Some moron ignores all of the facts and further fills his children’s heads with swill, treating them as though they don’t have the capacity to digest the evidence against the defendant. Thats probably just as well because he probably is not familiar with all the evidence. That moron then posts on that website, treating the posters to the same story his own children probably accepted at face value. He is then surprised on being called a moron when he thought he was quite the superior thinker and that everyon else was just reacting emotionally.

One poster is particularly outraged at his nonsense, having watched almost the entire trial as a result of being bedridden because of an attack on Memorial day by criminals.

I’ve sat on enough juries to know that the case sucked. I’ve spent enough time in courts to know the case sucked.

*Who* had not heard of this case? This story was too huge.

I think these jurors lied. You don’t have to watch Nancy Grace every night to have heard about this case. They knew it was high profile. But let’s say they indeed had not heard of the case, do not follow news, etc. How do you escape water cooler conversations, etc? And if one was indeed that ignorant, I’m not sure I’d want that person on a jury either.

I am amazed at how quickly some Freepers toss the constitution or our legal system (both the best in the world) when they don’t like “something”..then they sound like emotional, hysterical Libs.

I guess our rule of law only applies if you think, or FEEL (cue Barbara Streisand, “feeeeelings...” ), the verdict was what you WANTED.

Very few of the angry posters here have even argued the points, let alone know how our judicial system works and why..

I called this the “NPR” jury - none of them watched Fox News or listened to Greta or Nancy. Several said they only got their news from NPR, most didn’t even watch news except sports and weather.

>>Who killed the baby?<<

Show me from testimony that a murder was committed. Was it murder; was it an accident with a cover up? You just asked “who killed the baby”. Can you show me from testimony that she was “killed”?

Don’t give me that lame “well she didn’t kill herself” crap either. You said “killed”. That demands that you prove it wasn’t an accident. So, back up your statement and show from the testimony that they proved it.

You also said that a murderer went free. You now not only have to prove that it was murder and not an accident but you also have to prove that Casey did it. Can you?

The prosecution in this case did not present their “experts” to convince the jury...I guess those were “so called experts “ too.

Your hyperbole is not a logical response.

I can’t remember if I read or saw on tv but someone said there were 2 homeless people arguing about whether Casey was innocent or guilty.

Must have been on the news because I do remember the other commentator saying “I’m glad homeless people have cable” /s

But there was enough evidence to convict on the manslaughter charge, in my opinion. Apparently the jury felt otherwise.

And there were a couple of high school teachers on that jury. Doesn't that make you fear for the future of the educational system in this country? And a couple nurses, or wanna-be nurses. How would you like them deciding on your meds?

Lord, have mercy!

Give it up...some of these people are clearly morons. The Confederacy of Dunces is alive and well here on FR.

There has been an ugly strain of libertarianism alive and well here. It’s not conservatism, it’s not even true libertarianism....it stick it to the government even in cases like this where the government represents attempting to put a murderer away for killing her own child.

“Yeah we got you evil government”

yeah...they showed the government alright.

Why is this little girl dead? Is it not a crime to not report a death, and then try to hide it? Why did it take 31 days for her to report her baby missing? Don’t you find that the least little bit odd?
