Call me Pollyanna, but the Judge did give FingerBoy 6 days. Hopefully he has scoured the law so she can cool her heels a little longer.
I can’t watch either. It sickens me to see the pathological liar-sociopath getting away with murder.
I can understand that some of them might not have been willing to go for capital murde, but I don't understand how they gave her a pass on the lesser count. Actually, what I REALLY don't understand is that out fo the 12, there wasn't ONE joror who felt that she was guilt of manslaughter, and wasn't willing to stick to his/her guns..hold the other juror's feet to the fire, and if necesary, HANG the entire jury..deadlock it.
THat's what I can't comprehend...and never will.

I saw Ashton on Dr. Drew last night. Ashton said the one on the stand who surprised him most was Lee. He was usually straight forward but when questioned by the defense he conjured up crocodile tears, and wouldn’t meet with the state before being called to the stand.
(I need to go back and review his testimony on youtube.)
I hope the jurors are watching this and are “sick to their stomachs” for what they have done. They will have to live with this miscarriage of justice for the rest of their lives.
The four statements are separate false statements, not one false statement.
The defense is stupid to raise this issue. It should have been raised way before this.
This is legal hairsplitting. The defense thinks Casey might get extra time for lying four times. The defense wants her reduced to time served, for one incident which would only have been one year for one false statement.
I hope the judge doesn’t fall for this.
This has nothing to do with double jeopardy—each statement stands on its own, for they were uttered by Casey at FOUR SEPERATE times.
Pleading that Lot was righteous..yhe point is God did not find the 10 righteous...(except for Lot).
I didn't realize that either, but you know damned well the defense actively colluded with the her parents to come up with the chlorophyll story to try and bring up "reasonable doubt".

If there is precedent that such utterances should be considered a continuous act, then they have every right to make the motion.
Most folks get really angry when they see how the court system works. But its been working this way for a couple of hundred years.
