Dallas Cowboys receiver Roy Williams is going to court to get back the $76,000 engagement ring he gave to a former beauty pageant winner.
In February, Williams proposed to his girlfriend, Brooke Daniels. When she turned him down, Daniels didn't return the ring. According to Williams' affidavit that was filed in a Texas court last week, he asked for the ring back but was told by Daniels that she had lost it. An insurance investigation later revealed that Daniels' father was in possession of the ring.

He’s clearly not the brightest crayon in the box but she (along with her father) should be ashamed of herself for taking advantage of his obvious generosity. You have to be an enormous scumbag to take advantage of those who have an IQ dwelling somewhere in the basement region.

I disagree. While mailing the proposal is rather odd, (probably a failed effort at being “creative”), and not too classy, it does not sink anywhere near the depths of classlessness and saying no and keeping the rock.
I agree with your second point. This should be a lesson to all you single men out there. Don’t actually let go of the ring, until you get the “Yes!”. :)
