LIBERTY, Texas (AP) More than a dozen men accused of taking part in a series of sexual assaults on an 11-year-old girl are expected in court Wednesday in a case that has divided and horrified their southeast Texas town.
The 14 men, who along with five juvenile boys are facing charges, are scheduled to be in a state district courtroom in Liberty for status updates. The investigation began in December, after one of the girl's friends told a teacher he had seen a lurid cell phone video that showed the girl being raped in an abandoned trailer.
Authorities say the girl was assaulted on at least five occasions, sometimes by as many as seven or eight young men or boys at a time, from mid-September to early December in Cleveland, a small city about 45 miles northeast of Houston. The suspects range in age from a middle-school student to a 27-year-old, and include two star athletes at the local high school as well as adults with criminal records.

The town is divided over the gang rape of an 11 year old girl? Does that mean some people are siding with the rapist? It can’t be so.>>>
No, That’s the meme the liberal lamestream media try to project. When this first happened our local race baiter from the Houston area quannell x played the race card and tried to paint the local authorities as clan members who wanted to railroad these “poor black men and boys”.. Then we learned the whole ordeal was filmed on a cell phone camera and passed around at the school..
Funny we haven’t heard anything from qx since that info was published..
[And now we know why you feel she was innocent.]
I "hate" the American judicial system. Nope. I love it. I just wish the jurors in this case had actually participated in it.
Acquaint yourself with the facts. If you aren't outraged that the murderer of an innocent little girl has gone free, you either aren't paying attention, or you aren't capable of paying attention. Either way, hiding your stupidity or ignorance behind the claim that "this is the way American justice 'works'" is nonsense.
It didn't work in this case. All human institutions are imperfect. Pretending they're perfect and puffing your chest out about it with anyone who disagrees with you is juvenile.
You challenged my assertion. You're defending a murderer. Yeah, I'm nasty with jerks who do that. In addition to that, you're impugning the American judicial system by claiming that one of its occasional mistakes shows its "strength." No, it just shows that it's a human institution. It's flawed.
Ultimately, Casey Anthony will not be able to escape justice: there are no fugitives from the Law of Karma.
No I’m not defending a murderer. A jury has determined her not guilty. Thats how our system works, its not perfect but its a heck of a lot better than most others.
You’ve made numerous personal attacks and insults without provocation.
You are a nasty rude ignorant savage who does not need to be lecturing ANYONE on anything. Too bad your momma didn’t teach you some manners.
Respect is earned. A murderer’s defenders don’t deserve any.
Yes you deserve zero respect due to your unwarranted personal attacks.
Put down the bottle and sober up before you post.
I’m just sick of liberals laying blame at the feet of conservatives when the blame clearly belongs at their feet. That is the case here and that is what makes race relevant in this case. These perps clearly aren’t tea party members. Have you ever heard of a group of tea party members raping an 11 year old girl? It’s a rhetorical question. The answer is clearly no. But 14 black men gang raped an 11 year old girl and we’re supposed to ignore their race yet it’s perfectly acceptable to demonize the tea party, to call us white bigots, crackers, threats to America, evil, etc because we recognize the threat of our national debt and dare to speak against it.
The alternative is that the following are all not guilty of murder in your eyes, since no American jury has convicted them of the crime, and they're innocent until proved otherwise:
You might be better at a little give-and-take if you belted a few down yourself: you certainly couldn't be any worse.
