Eggs good; eggs bad.
Butter good; butter bad.

Back and forth, back and forth.

Reason #1,234,567 why raising my own chickens for eggs kicks complete butt!

So...they spent the 80's telling us all that eggs would contribute to cholesterol and CAUSE heart disease; companies came out with egg substitutes.
Now, they are saying that eggs PROTECT us from heart disease...
Kinda the same principle that is going to happen with global warming...in 20 years they'll admit that it never happened...
In either case, follow the money.

I’ve taken to boiling a dozen eggs on Monday and snacking on the whites for the next few days.
A low calorie snack that is much healthier than eating Twinkies.

Eggs are one of the most complete foods on the planet.
Think about it. An egg contains everything it needs (except the O2 that diffuses through the shell) to make a complete, living being.

The thirty or forty year obsession with cholesterol and fats in food led to many incorrect conclusions about the effect of some foods on our health.
