And still, the prosecution couldn’t manage to convince a jury.

I have doubts as to how Casey alone disposed of the child’s body. My biggest thing was why Casey (or her mother) would wait 31 days to report the child missing. She could have easily said she had been kidnapped.

America has lost its soul...no justice for Caylee...so sad...

If you go in to the legal system in America looking for justice, you will be disappointed. There you will only find the Law. Justice is to be found elsewhere.

WHO brought the charges before the Grand Jury? Prosecutors can manipulate case data to secure charges.

Not really.

Both OJ and this woman were guilty of murder, but the big difference is that evidence of guilt, tying him to the crime, was presented to the stupid OJ jury.

The prosecution failed to do that in the Anthony trial.

It’s not against the law to be a sleazebag in our society.

About the only good thing I have to say about this awful affair is that at least little Caley won’t grow up to be like her female parent.

She will do something again, like OJ did and end up back in prison. Or, at some point she will become so full of herself she’ll spill the beans to someone.

Casey Anthony was indicted by a Grand Jury, not charged by the prosecutor.

The prosecutor had to take the case before the Grand Jury and request an indictment.

Minus the race riots.

Who saw her chloroform the baby? Who saw her tape up the babys mouth and nose? Nobody. Pure speculation. That’s not enough to execute IMHO

Duct tape over a child’s nose and mouth is absolutely a murder weapon!

Caylee did not die of natural causes.

There was no evidence of cause of death and if she did not die of natural causes, that still need not indicate murder.

True.

But was that done and, assuming it was, who did it?

Her parent’s job is done. they were able to throw enough sand in everyone’s eyes, long enough to create doubt and save their child from the needle. Now they can just leave her alone to her own devices which I figure will be some online porn and the eventual path to meth and overdosing.

She’ll end up on a slab sooner rather than later IMO.

I don't follow these crime trials, but I place a high value your views on just about every subject. If you say the prosecution did not make it's case then I believe you.

This seems a really sad tale, to bad the state did not wait until it had real evidence because if this mom really did the deed, she got away with it.

Casey Anthony was indicted by a Grand Jury, not charged by the prosecutor.

As Mario Ouomo famously quipped, "A grand Jury would indict a ham sandwich if the prosecutor told them to do it."

The bottom line is that none of us "Wednesday morning, arm-chair jurors" have sat through the weeks of testimony like the jury did, where they heard the testimony and saw the demeoner of witnesses and the physical evidence while sequestered from the tabloids and cable news pundits. "Proof beyond a reasonable doubt" is a very high standard that requires near certainty.

For Murder 1, you must prove premeditation. I am not a lawyer, but I could play one on tv, I bet.

Absolutely all jokes aside, Adolph Hitler, if alive, would be walking around a free man if this jury were on the case.

I guess that poor little girl committed suicide by wrapping her mouth with duct tape and tossing herself into a marsh.

The judge also said, to the members of the jury to discount evidence and testimony that doesn’t fit.

The jury wasn’t prepared to deal with a psychopath. Her defense should have been completely ignored.

The prosecution should have played the underlying evil up a lot more, not just closing remarks.
