I walked out of a food store one day and a lady was parked in a handicap spot. I looked for a sticker, there was none. As I was looking I noticed she had a sign board in the Back. she was a jazzersize instructor.
whats worse is they BREED!
I will not burden anyone with my list of maladies...suffice it to say that when I begged my doctor for a cure...she gave me the filled out paperwork for the placard instead and an apology.
btw...on the placard it states plainly that it needs to be removed when not parked as it blocks ones vision (which it does)...and new ones have the last few digits of your drivers license on it so if a cop asks to see your license (or DMV ID) and it does not match the number, there is a serious fine that can be levied.
sometimes the pain makes me limp like the walking wounded and other times...(the pain is always there) I can buck up and walk almost normally....I have a 10-20 minute walking time before I need to stop and sit...so I get a shopping cart to buoy me up if one is available....even if I dont need to buy more than one object...
Just saying...please do not assume.
The core observation is basically: Society has gone downhill and many people seem to think only of themselves and make no effort to follow accepted rules and standards.
And an overwhelming number of replies seem to follow along the lines of "How dare you criticize people who park in handicapped spots! You don't know my situation! My situation entitles me to do what I'm doing! Don't take that tone with me!"
Hmmmmmmmm.
my gripe is people that can’t bother to dress when they go out.... I mean I don’t want the days of white gloves to go to the grocery store but for crying out loud.... can people at least wear shoes? or put on pants? really do I need to see pajamas? and the stupid droopy pants/underwear thing... Winning The Future!?! when is that fad going to finally go away????
Plenty of folks have syndromes / diseases that can't see.
I know some folks that have Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, COPD, CHF, etc....That you might not know it...at first glance.
Once again....FWIW-
Just go to COSTCO here in northern California and you will see, feel and hear things from the shoppers that will link you right to BHO. Watch out on days when they have free samples, you can not get through the people with their carts blocking the isles.
You used the word “shame” and “manners” - you must be a conservative.
this words are unknown to the entitled classes....
It's hard not to notice Obama.
Democrats. They walk among us.
I have a friend who has a heart condition and cannot walk more than 30 feet without huffing and puffing. On the outside he looks healthy as a horse. He has the handicapped placard, but still gets a lot of grief from people who assume he has parked illegally. It has gotten so bad that he now affects a very nice limp as he walks to and from his car.
Don’t knock lazy people. Most of the cool things in your life, including the computer you’re sitting in front of, were invented by people too lazy to do something the old way,
It’s so bad around here I notice parents taking control of their kids (IE kids that listen to them and follow directions) the out of control ones are everywhere (except in my store. I kick them out. bull in a china shop comes to mind)
Both of my kids are autistic. Both listen to me and follow my directions when we are in public because both know. if they don’t. it’ll be a long time before we go out in public again ;)
All the time.......And as for your comment about the handicapped spaces and the mirror placards, my brother in law is one of those ignorant jackasses.........
And they all seem to congregate at Wal-Mart whenever I’m there.
judgementalism:
ran into a gal (she was a straight A student not some slimeball) I went to school with at the grocery store and acknowledged her handicap placard, she said:
“No it’s moms I always use it when I shop, nobody else uses these spaces”
You bet I’m judgemental! And probably right over 50% of the time!
I tell everyone - we are done as a nation - its OVER.
Just look around at any large gathering of people ad survey the landscape.
Case closed.
And it is virtually certain that they are products of government education.
Ever noticed that almost every person (there might be a few exceptions) that uses those motorized carts in the grocery store or Walmart is grossly fat?
Are they fat because they have to use the motorized cart and therefore don’t burn enough calories? Or do they use the carts because they are fat?
I think it is the later.
