The judge needs to ask the jury if there’s anyone who doesn’t think they can “judge” another person, and if so, excuse them and put in an alternate.

A question for legal eagles on the judge’s instructions so far: How is a toddler capable of provocation?

Jury selection is done by the attorneys before the trial in the voir dire. It’s not the judge’s place now to ask who thinks they can/can’t judge another.

This is a death penalty certified jury. They’ve already been asked all these questions. Apparently one who did get on said it’s up to God to judge. Each side is permitted only so many strikes from among the jury pool.
