WFTV kicked me off the feed twice and I couldn’t link to any other feeds so I had to go downstairs to watch on cable. I’ve got WFTV back up now but I’m expecting to lose it again when the closing argument resumes.

Casey snarled something under her breath when Ashton was defending her father
She was probably asking her lawyer, "Does this mean I get life in prison or the death penalty?"

Actually, a friend of mine insists that Casey looks pregnant. It would be quite a tactic, wouldn’t it, because it would at the very least spare her the death penalty, if it came to that. And yeah, I’d have to say if she’s expecting, there would almost have to be some fooling around with the lawyer or someone at jail.

Is your housework done and you’re all prepared for your 4th of July guests? You must have worked through the night.

HA, I wish. I only got the bathrooms cleaned up. I'm in Cali so it's only 7:00 a.m., but the minute the State is done I have to start running around to get everything else ready.

I'll pay for this, but I'm hooked. I have to see the remainder of the rebuttal.

I thought Ashton was excellent. Baez had to keep interrupting like he always does. Casey is scared as she should be. It’s no telling what she put Caylee through during her short life that we don’t even know about.

Ashton gave a very concise and effective rebuttal. In my opinion he’s an excellent attorney. I’m sure he could have made a lot more income by leaving his position as a public state attorney to practice as a private attorney. He must be dedicated to public service.

“”So glad the prosecutor is going after Dr. Spitz””

Read up on Spitz. He whitewashed the Kennedy assassination investigation AND in the OJ civil trial. He was proud of saying he’d worked on the OJ case but you had to research to find out it was the civil trial not the criminal trial. I watched every minute of the OJ trial and had argued with people recently that he had NEVER appeared in the murder trial.

He said that the murderer of Nicole and Ron Goldman wouldn’t have had any blood on them! Spitz is a big jerk IMO.

Actually I don’t think it would stop her from the death penalty. They would let her have baby and give it away then execute

How does a possible pregnancy spare Casey from the death penalty? The average time on death row is over 20 years now and Casey won’t be pregnant that long if she is pregnant now.

It was all just a lie. Casey told her new group of friends she was thinking of buying a house, and in typical Casey fashion she was looking at 250K homes in a new subdivision. At first she told Amy she had found a house but wanted her to see it - Amy was so excited but the date/time set up for the viewing came and went with the realtor having some issue. The second one came and went the same way. They she came up with the story that her parents were divorcing and selling her the house.

The first delay came during the last week of June when Casey told Amy that George had a heart attack and they were rushing to the hospital. So that delayed him moving out.

Each day there was another story - Can you envision Amy packing up, getting a bit nervous about getting things out of the apartment. She was also going on the trip to PR so she ended up having to put things into storage.

Do you recall Casey was staying at her house a few nights and stole the cash Amy had gotten for her trip to PR? The next morning she couldn't find it and Casey laughed and said you woke up in the middle of the night and when I asked you what you were doing you said you were putting your cash in a safe location. Amy never found it! She mentioned it to Cindy that day she took Cindy to find Casey on July 15 and Cindy smirked at her and said it is gone Amy

Agree re: JFK. Yet for some reason he’s always held in very high esteem by all of these talking heads.

The defense has no case and never did. They are grasping at anything and anyone to blame. Grandpa George is as innocent as Caylee. He is only family member to look for justice for Caylee. It took him awhile but he got there.

trying to get evidence thrown out after his closing statement. I liked the prosecution’s answer. “He’s already made his closing statement your honor”.

I think Jeff was emotional- he’s been with this case for years. I was channel surfing during break and he told one of the HLN reporters he’s exhausted...just wants to go home.

I remember the look on OJ’s face when the guilty verdict was read at the trial in NV. Stunned disbelief as he realized he didn’t get away with it this time.

I think Casey has always escaped responsibility for her bad behavior due to her parents covering for her. This time its too big and her parents have not been able to save her.
If found guilty it will be interesting to watch her and see her interact with her parents. I think she will blame them.

My husband was telling me last night that he was reading about Casey selling Caylee, either for pornographic pictures or worse. When my husband wakes up I will see if he can give me a link to the info.
