in my prayers...
Thanks for the ping.
I’m praying for you, 2DV.
You’re in my prayers.
Thank you very much!
You are up late. Tell me how to direct the prayer. Mike
Here I am eating a sandwich a few years ago.
I walked over 30 minutes several times today. I suppose all that activity is keeping me up.
You’re welcome! :)
You have lost your discipline. You can get it back. Go to the Beach Mall and give it 15 minutes. Go again for 15 minutes, Stop. Every week up it by 5 minutes. You ran for miles one day, do it again.
Stop drinking diet anything on top of it. Want soda.....You are now a ginger ale guy.
Ice water with lemon has been doing me fine the last two days. But if I “need” a soda I will do that.
It’s the fake sugar that isn’t helping. In order to see results you need to cut off the corn sugar and starches. Cut down the bread. Slowly and mentally try to reduce the appetite. Just a burger then walk. Wait and have a salad, then walk. Wait and have eggs, then walk. Help me out here.
Teach your brain to stop at 750 calories for each meal. Walk between meals. Eat a burger without fries, walk! Eat a Salad with any dressing you want, walk! Eat your fries with no ketchup, walk! That could be a day.
Thanks for the suggestions! Good night!
Alright. It’s the 4th of July! At least remember when you ran naked over the confidence course!
Prayers up. May God bless them both.
2ndDivisionVet and his wife have both had health problems that seem to have gotten worse. And this has led to financial problems as well, since he had to quit his job to take care of her. He’s started walking and dieting, and is only beginning the long trek back to the strength he should have. If anyone here can assist him in dealing with financial burdens, and good, sound, recommendations on proper diet for the overweight and diabetic, that would be a big plus. I’ve given him some ideas based on my decades of heart disease and stroke, but it may not completely apply to his situation.
2ndDivisionVet, we’re here to help whatever way we can. You’re not alone, and our prayers go up for you and your wife. God bless the two of you. Stay strong.
See if there is a Society of St Vincent De Paul in your town. Depending on their local resources, they can offer various forms of financial aid. Our small parish has one - they’ve been able to offer 1 month’s rent, 1 month’s utility bill, etc. You don’t have to be Catholic to apply for help there. Don’t be shy about asking churches for help; financial AND spiritual!
See my latest Freepmail for assistance.
The VA has a Housing Voucher program nationwide. A lot of veterans are not aware of this.
