>> Lion will not run Quicken? <<
Correct. Lion will not run many applications and it is a big problem.

I'm not sure that symbol quite captures irony -- it does remind me of this though:

What the heck is a Beta Version and will the version the rest of us get be just as good? A beta version is a test version of software. Rush is a certified developer for Apple so he gets an early version to test. Apple just announced five minutes ago that OSX Lion has been released to developers in a Gold Master version... Meaning it's ready to be released!

Well partly due to Rush and partly due to all your Apple-related posts here, I finally broke down and bought a MacBook Pro a couple weeks ago. Yes, it was expensive and yes, I could have probably bought three Windows laptops for the price of the one Macbook (I got the 15" high-end version), but so far I am extremely impressed.
It boots up in seconds, not that you need to reboot very often (I only did it because I was curious how long it would take). You can normally let it sleep when you aren't using it in which case it it ready to use instantly - as soon as you lift the lid.
Everything about it is crisp, clean and superfast. My massive iTunes library, which use to give me constant hourglass in Windows XP and Windows 7, moves as quick as lightning. With the 750GB hard drive, I am now in process of re-ripping all my CDs at 320bps so I can finally start selling them on eBay.
Now I know that Apple is not exactly a friend of conservatism, but then neither is Microsoft and Google. So all things being somewhat equal in that regard, I must, like Rush Limbaugh, decide which technology is the best and it is Apple, hands down.
Can't wait to download Lion though I am most impressed with what OS I have already (Snow Leopard).

Yikes. That’s something one would hope they’d fix before release to the general public. Or at least warn people about before they spend the money to upgrade.

These Apple threads usually have someone accusing someone of being a fan boy, or a fanboi. I thought I'd be the first to throw it out, this time.
As I have done this in the past, I should have recognized it in another. You were just too good.

"He must have stock in Apple he wants to pump or a secret endorsement deal." It has to be at least one of the above! I bet his paying advertisers love it when he does these free 20 minute commercials for Apple.

With the 750GB hard drive, I am now in process of re-ripping all my CDs at 320bps so I can finally start selling them on eBay. You may want to hold off on re-ripping those. Part of Apple's new iCloud service will allow you to upgrade all of your music in iTunes, regardless of where you got it, even if pirated (Apple paid the labels $150 million to compensate them for the change), to highest bit rate without re-ripping for just $24 a year! It does it automatically for subscribers for that service for all your iDevices.
