Good morning to all.
I thought I would get this thread up bright and early so I could concentrate on work until the trial begins. I believe it starts at 9:00 a.m. today.
The State is presenting its important rebuttal case, which will include two Gentiva representatives, one of which will likely be a custodian of records. That person would need to authenticate Cindy's time sheets, which were subpoenaed. The State plans to admit that evidence to impeach her testimony that it was she, and not Casey, who did the computer searches on chloroform. The chloroform searches go directly to premeditation, a critical element in a death penalty case.
I understand that closing arguments will be heard Saturday (tomorrow) and then the jury will "get deliberated." (I love saying that!)
Time to put on a big pot of coffee...
Happy Friday, everyone. We are coming around the home stretch.
I am hoping today will prove that Cindy was lying when she said she did those chloroform searches.
I won’t be able to watch Saturday, so I am hoping some good stuff happens today.
She will argue lack of effective counsel on appeal.
Chaney Mason had a great rep here in O’do going into this trial. He was only second chair, but now he has “a lot of ‘splainin to do.”
During the penalty phase, will she admit doing it and ask for mercy?
Lots of questions.
Hopefully, Caylee will soon get the justice she deserves for what happened to her.
Still laughing about “Finger Kid”......trying to picture him in his orange jumpsuit this morning.
We have been watching this trial and I thought for sure that Casey would have gotten on the stand in her defense yesterday. I figure after she saw Mr. Ashton do his thing with a couple of the defense witnesses, she got scared of what he would do to her. Looked to me that her team didn’t have anything to disprove her guilt and I can’t believe what she put her family thru. She’s one sick puppy!
“Finger Kid”, LOL...that was the funniest thing, bet his parents sure were proud of him and his 15 min of fame! It might actually bring in more business for his TGFridays, just to see this idiot waiter.
I didn’t follow this case very closely until the trial but am now hooked. You mention Mason- I’ve heard about his reputation also but have watched him carefully and have really not seen him perform as a good or even once good-but-past-his-prime lawyer. Has he gotten “old”? He doesn’t seem ancient- late 60’s maybe? The best I’ve seen him do was when the jury was out of the courtroom yesterday when he argued against letting in the evidence from Cindy’s work records.
No doubt though- worst defense I’ve ever seen.
Hoping here's your next date Casey.
or here come da Judge.
“Shes one sick puppy.”
Yes. In addition, this is a sick and highly dysfunctional family. Very sad.
Our local news had an interesting tidbit about Finger Boy last night. Just conincidentally a reporter interviewed him while he stood in line waiting for a ticket to get into the trial. He told the reporter he thought Casey is innocent- reporter asked another question to which he replied he hoped to be seen on tv. (Be careful what you wish for).
Reporters went to interview his mother and were told he and mom haven’t had communication for over a year.
Our town is full of fun!
Good morning. Before I forget, I just want to thank you for putting up these threads. I found them a few days ago and I am enjoying them so much. Love reading everyones’ opinions and waiting to see justice for little Caylee. Thank you so much.
Is that TGIFridays close to the Anthonys? Bondsman Padilla said that he thought Casey use to go to that TGIF so maybe he knew her.
I agree...there is something about George that is really ‘icky’. But whatever he might have done to his daughter, it sure as hell doesn’t excuse her for murdering that sweet baby.
LOL! Padilla lives for conspiricies :) Not close to her house- but that doesn’t mean she didn’t go there either.
But out of all of Baez's failures he did have one big success: He showed that the computer software used by the cops is JUNK SOFTWARE and can't be trusted, as I'll explain below. The talking heads on shows like Nancy (dis)Grace hardly mention it because I think it goes over their heads.
Program A couldn't deal with Daylight Savings Time changes but it found the 84th Facebook login, the 83rd Facebook login, and the 82nd Facebook login, and a few searches for chloroform.
Program B handles Daylight Savings Time but can't count and completely omitted the Facebook logins. Instead it claims chloroform was searched 84 times and this is what all the talking heads regurgitate. Trouble is, it can't point to the 83rd search nor any other previous searches.
84??? Sound familiar? Sounds like it mixed up the Facebook records with the chloroform entries. (Besides, searching 84 times for one subject is not very believable to start with.) And if I can't trust it to keep it straight between Facebook and Google I don't trust it to keep the exact times and dates straight either.
If I was on the jury and could look at these reports to verify that I heard this correctly, then premeditated, death-chamber murder is completely off the table.
BTW, I don't believe either the prosecution’s theory or the defense theory.
I don’t see George as anything but a P-whipped man who is the only family member really and truly grieving over the loss of Caylee. IMO Lee is the icky one. He and Casey’s relationship with one another is just plain creepy.
