Wow! What an afternoon! I taught two students this morning, and had a Three-Hour recording session at 4:00.
I started by warming up the singer with a bunch of vocal exercises. Then we went upstairs to the studio, and recorded the backing tracks. Then two takes on the lead vocal, with a few corrections and coaching. Then the vocalist’s Mom and I recorded the backing vocals. THEN I added effects, balanced the tracks, added Equalization, and mixed it to a master disc, and then made her a copy.
All in three hours.
I LOVE studio work.
What a pretty graphic and frame, Teenie!! Are you getting fancy on us, or what? Just kidding! Thank you and hope you’ve been having a good Caturday!!
Awwwwwwwwwwww! What a cute kitty, Jaycee! Will be waiting to hear your explanation on why you missed roll call this morning! :)
Well, to get to the point. My DIL has been wanting to come and help me with some housework for a long time and I’ve put her off several times BUT, this time I let her come up. She worked me to death....LOL~!
We cleaned the living room, guest bedroom and upstairs hallway! She wanted to do more but I told her it would have to be another day....I was worn out.
I sure did appreciate her help!! I still have that hip and leg problem and have not been accomplishing as much as I need to. I fixed us some lunch and a break and we finished up. Afterward, I took a nap of course and did watch a bit of politics, then had to get some dinner for me. Its been a busy but productive day. When I did my Caturday post, that was the first time the computer was turned on....I think my computer got lonely.....LOL!!
You all had some of the cutest graphics I’ve ever seen!!!
Your 2084, 2085, 2086 are so funny!!
Wish I my DIL lived close enough to come help me...still down from the nerve block, it’s been 11 days and I’m no better, in fact in more pain than before the block. I’m down to cooking super, and pouring a bowl of cheerios and making toast, coffee in the AM. Computer time is limited to 30 mins of sitting or the pain increases.
Hope we both get to feeling better real quick.
Not even able to go to church unless I can lay on my belly. LOL
Don’t you just LOVE it when somebody comes to HELP you,
And you end up doing MORE work than if she had just stayed home! hahahahahahahahahahaha
But, you probably appreciated the company, and it’s the thought that counts!
Gail, its terrible the way you’ve suffered. And to think you may hurt more since the nerve block is really disappointing! Have you let your doctor know the pain you’re in since the nerve block? It sure sounds like a shame.
The next time my DIL comes, we’re going to do the buffet in the dining area and the hutch of my mother’s in the living room. Those two things will be quite a big job. I used to clean this dining room buffet in a couple of hours. I would wash the dishes on one shelf and polish that shelf and just keep on until it was finished. I could do a lot of climbing then and now I’m afraid to get on a ladder. I took my ladder upstairs a while back to clean my bedroom overhead light fixtures. It has those frosted small bulbs in it and little saucer like things underneath the lights and there’s about six. I used to just take the glass saucer things down and wash them and dust the rest of the fixture and I cannot do it anymore and its filthy. Some bulbs are out and I like things being right! Guess I’ll have to have help with that, too. And I let all this stuff depress me, too. I love doing things!
Hope you feel better soon, Gail. I will remember you in my prayers and you can remember me. (((((HUGS)))))
She did give me more spirit. She is a very sweet daughter in law. I have no complaints about her at all. I’ve always tried to be very independent and its hard to have help but I guess we have to face what comes our way. My doctor says one leg showed weakness and they are interested in putting a stint in. This scared me to death since both legs are weak, then why did only one show up with weakness? Its scary to me.
I had those tests done about 6 or 8 weeks ago. They put 4 blood pressure cups on each leg and do one leg at a time. They do the test one blood pressure cup at a time on one leg and then do the other. They squeeze pretty hard and it hurts some but not as bad as someone had told me.
That's so sweet of you to say that, Jaycee!
How wonderful of your DIL to come help you out today!
Am sure you did appreciate it!!
And you'll probably sleep well tonight, that's for sure!!
Glad you enjoyed them! :)
I know what you mean.
In the last few months I have learned a lot about accepting “grace” from others.
Amen.
That’s a very sweet way of putting it, Mary Lou. I know how much you’ve been through. Even though my husband died in the hospital, we weren’t expecting it at all and it was such a big blow to me, I had a hard time accepting it. But God’s grace brings us through somehow and we learn to smile and laugh again and enjoy the life God intends. I have always said “God wants His children to be happy.” And he makes us strong enough to overcome those awful things. PTL!!
I did see some cute things and I knew I couldn’t answer all of them but I wanted you all to know that I did view all of them and enjoyed some big smiles.
OK - I’m going for 2100! Do I get a prize?
