Aloha

I am the one on the left in this picture (hehehe)

It is good to go to Hawaii with me. I KNOW where all the FREE (or Cheap) Stuff is! The "City of Refuge National Park, for example, is only 5 bucks to park and you can keep going back for a whole week! Same thing with Volcanoes National Park (10 bucks for the whole week, and the volcano is ERUPTING right now!) ALL the beaches are FREE, King Kamehameha's Temple Ruins are FREE, The Wiki Wacky Hilton with real dolphins is FREE, The Petroglyph Fields are FREE (if you don't mind getting hit with a golf ball), Big Lahaina Banyan Tree is Free, and if you pretend the Art Galleries are really MUSEUMS of Fine Art, THEY are FREE TOO. Shave Ice, $2.00, Gas is cheaper in Hilo but it's 96 miles away from Kona! LOL

A couple we ran around with for years lived in Hawaii for 7 years and moved back when their parents were getting older. We used to tease them about leaving such a beautiful place but we did understand why.

They have been back several times since then. All the parents are gone now. But they just love to visit there.

You can check out some of my tunes here.

Thanks, Tiapam, for the Les Paul Video. I was inspired by Les Paul back when I got my first mono reel to reel tape recorder when I was 11 (1963). I have been multi-tracking since then, but got my first Les Paul GUITAR last year. Yep...I waited 47 YEARS for my dream guitar! LOL

It was delicious and I roasted some potatoes and onions in the oven. I do have some steak and veggies left over and will finish them tomorrow. I would have loved to shared with all of you if it was only possible.....LOL! After my nap I fixed me a cherry chocolate sundae. I bet that was fattening, don’t you all? What the hey!! It was worth it.

I can play the Bass, and you can play your Les Paul. Anyone play drums?

I'm a longtime fan of Les Paul himself, too.

Les Paul, "How High the Moon," live at the Iridium, New York
Les Paul Trio with Lou Pallo, "Caravan" (live)
Les Paul, "Sleep"
Les Paul and Chet Atkins, "It's Been a Long, Long Time"
Les Paul Trio with the Andrews Sisters, "It's a Pity to Say Goodnight"

I was so glad to hear from you today and very happy you had a wonderful trip to beautiful Hawaii. It sounds like you and your sisters had a wonderful trip and you got a lot of great pictures. I was wondering the other day where in the world you were. I figured maybe you needed some time away. Glad to see you back!

Aloha!

Yes...I did need some time away. Even though the travel agents, airlines, car rental places, AND the resort ALL messed up, I STILL had a wonderful time with my sisters.
Now, with a family wedding in Ireland next April, I need to figure out how to get accommodations for the whole gang all over again! LOL.

This was a long thread and I couldn’t answer all posts. I would be up all night. But I enjoyed viewing everything and listening to a little music.

I’m glad things finally worked out for you and I hope you had a great time with your sisters (are they younger sisters or older sisters btw?). You sure needed a good vacation. :-) (((((BIG HUGS)))))
