One such item of interest is a large stone that was found in a dry creek bed in New Mexico. This stone discovered by early explorers contains the entire Ten Commandments written in Ancient Hebrew script. Today, this large stone still lies where it was originally found in the early 1800's on the side of Hidden Mountain near Los Lunas, New Mexico, about thirty-five miles south of Albuquerque.
Scholars who have studied the stone say it pre-dates the arrival of Columbus to America.
How did this large stone with the Ten Commandments written in Ancient Hebrew come to be in North America? No one has an answer.
Another item that shows strong evidence of the possibility of Hebrews in America is noted in a custom celebrated by the Yuchi Indians in Oklahoma.
The Yuchis originally migrated from the Bahamas to Florida and Georgia and then later to the Oklahoma territory.

You are aware that not all the jews left Spain. In fact, some analysts say more Jews stayed in Spain and "converted to Christianity" than left Spain.
Their culture and knowledge didn't just disappear in 1492. We are talking about 1 or 2 generations into the discovery and re-settlement of Mexico, and there should have been plenty of people who'd learned Hebrew at home in Spain out there wandering about looking for all the world like any other Spanish caballero ~ horse and all.
By 1600 the Spanish had effective control of just about everything they'd ever heard about or seen in North America ~ so you'd had educated people leaving their marks.

Just guessing the early Spanish surveyors probably didn't have the capability of estimating altitude in prairie land but they could estimate distances North and South with great precision.

I rather much doubt whether the typical education of a Spanish priest would have included studying how to read and write ancient, pre-Masoretic Hebrew scripts.

I have to listen to this stuff all the time from my friend who is Jewish and of Spanish and Moorish descent.
We discuss the histories of where they went, how they assimilated publicly but acted privately.

The script does resemble an ancient Hebrew script known as Middle Semitic.
For the life of me I cannot understand how people who know little or nothing about the Hebrew language attempt to set themselves up as some kind of authority in this forum. I have forgotten much more than I remember, but at least I have made a formal study of the language lasting several years, a very long time ago now.
My intent was not to speak to the authenticity or lack thereof regarding the decalogue but rather to post some charts of ancient Hebrew.
That said, the characters on the decalogue are certainly quite similar to the characters on the charts. There is clearly an X, a backwards P, a backwards J (which upon examination could be a couple different letters) and a triangle. Not sure what I’m missing, but whatever. Have a great night.
Over the centuries many of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet bear little resemblance to their earlier “versions” - and especially to the “modern” Masoretic Hebrew script that many people would recognize.
It is one thing to read the Masoretic Text; can you read Middle Semitic, also known as the Aramaic script?

That's one of the reasons it is now a 'closed site'. The rancher who owns the land now only allows a very few onto the property, in order to protect it. IIRC there had been some (minor) vandalism involved, and he didn't want more. We discovered that about 12-15 years ago when we were in the area and tried to visit.
Whoever did the white outlining was certainly ignorant about simply using a spray bottle of distilled water to bring it out enough to photograph without harm.
Many moons ago, our pastor (a Korean War vet) took a film crew, and did a documentary of the inscription; he's a friend of (the late) Barry Fell, and knows his Paleohebrew.
