According to Aintitcool.com, Obama will present Shia LaBeouf's character, Sam Witwicky, a medal in Transformers 3.
Excerpt bellow
Meanwhile, for the very first time Shia LaBeouf finally wrestles a bit of respect for his character. And for the name of Sam Witwicky. You see heres a character that has saved the world twice from the nightmare of Decepticon rule but has never been given any real world respect.
*****Youll see Obama give him a medal but he cant explain what it is for.********
Saving the world curiously doesnt have any real world applications, beyond prepping you for future world ending robotic plans.

That must be a Deja Vu moment for Zero.
Actually, I kind of saw the second Transformers movie as a slap at the Obama admin.
In the first movie, when Bush was still in office, the government recognized the threat of the Decepticons and helped fight against them.
But in the second movie, they added that character who was supposed to be the National Security Advisor to Obama, and he acted like a whiny punk the whole time. He also used typically left-wing, anti-war arguments to explain why the Autobots should leave.
Just wait til someone uploads the movie on torrent and dont fork over your dough. Save it for Capt America.
maybe I’ll give it a second look. Why must this man be in everything? Sports, movies, Mythbusters, the list goes on and on!
And some reviewers gave the second movie very poor reviews, purely on political grounds. It went on to do very well at the box office.
This might be the movie company's way of sucking up this time.
Captain America is where it’s @ this summer.
So was this the guy Obama was thinking of when he talked about the MOH recipient who didn’t receive his medal posthumously?
“Youll see Obama give him a medal but he cant explain what it is for.”
Maybe they show Obama re-gifting his Nobel Peace prize. Nobody knew what that was for, either.
Went to see it today. The pic of Obama and Witwicki is hilarious. Witwicki has the goofiest look on his face when he receives the medal.
I saw the movie tonight.. this is a first hand impression. Obama was in a quick photo shot (which could’ve been special effects), where Sam gets a cheesy medal. They actually went out of their way to make in seem “unimportant” to the White House and it didn’t fit him (like it was made for a child). That and the fact that the aliens are setting up their evil BASE in Chicago (subtle message there, huh?).. and Obama is nowhere to be seen during all of this, even though he has been established as the President (referred to by Sam as “POTUS”, not by his name!)... The bad guys (Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime) say the socialist phrases, like “The rights of the many override the rights of the few” ... and the fighting for Freedom message on the Autobots/Human side is VERY telling. This movie is a shot across the bow of the Socialists in Washington DC... and I would say it disses Obama BIG TIME. How refreshing! Do You LOVE your FREEDOM?!
Actually after posting this I have heard from others that Bay has subtle right wing messages in his movies. I’m all for supporting more conservative filmmakers and actors, but I think I’ll wait for it to come out on DVD, saw Super 8 last night, that movie was fun I highly recommend it.
If you haven’t seen it already Super 8 was the bet summer blockbuster I’ve seen all year. After Capatain America I think I’m done for this year with summer blockbusters. You can’t pay me to see that horrible Cowboys vs. Aliens movie, ugh.
