The Establishment Clause says that "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
Liberals interpret this as "Separation of church and state," while constitutional conservatives interpret this as meaning that there can be no official state religion. Regardless of how you interpret this, allowing Sharia Law within the U.S. would be incompatable with either interpretation.
Some might say that states can make exceptions for Sharia Law, but that would reopen what once was: states can have official state religions or allow for recognition of particilar denominational beliefs, which was practiced at one time even after the Constitution was ratified. But liberals are opposed to this, so how could they be for states allowing for Sharia Law to be recognized within states or at the state level?
Concerning either interpretation: how are the "democracies" in Egypt, Iraq or Afghanistan lining up with either interpretation of the Establishment Clause?

Just how do you have a Sharia Law Democracy in Egypt, Iraq or Afghanistan? Sharia Law and true Democracy seem to be the antithesis of each other.

...yet our Army repairs and builds masjids, and our taxes PURCHASE Qurans, prayer rugs, etc.
ISN’T THIS a violation of the establishment clause, that the libs constantly throw at Christians ?
especially when we spend billions on “nation building” countries like Iraq and Afghanistan,
that specifically have sharia law IN their constitution.
we ARE actively helping and paying to establish a religion, in other countries,
( while FORBIDDING efforts to even introduce Christianity.)

If we could “reclassify” Islam from “religion” to totalarian “political regime” bent on world domination, things would be a lot simpler.

People do , well liberals do think nothing of Islam/sharia law and the danger propaganda is on the least dangerous, Jews, Christians9 allbeit there are some wacko Christian groups), the Amish..okay not them, but then give thee most dangerous a near free pass. I hope we can break through this PC Islam BS like Geert Wilders did wining his PC court case and America will once again bow to the one true Jewish messiah, and for Jews that don’t believe that part we all can agree and bow in unison to the great “I AM.”
