I want to thank all my Freeper friends for their prayers and kind thoughts. My husband, Rich, died in his sleep from a massive heart attack around 3:15 a.m. on June 21st. Rich was a retired AF fighter pilot who served in Vietnam. He also retired from the California Department of Corrections. Rich loved racing and instructing with the Porsche Club for 30 years. He happily spent years riding his Red Harley FXR with a group of law enforcement officers. I’m finding it very difficult to make sense out of the past week that changed my life. Your kind thoughts are very much appreciated.

I am devastated beyond words for your loss and for not knowing of it until today, having been completely absorbed for the last week in preparing for a family reunion and memorial service for one of our cousins. I didn't read FR or even read emails.

May G-d hold you and your daughter and all your family and friends securely in His loving arms. I so wish I lived close enough to visit you now. You have been such a great friend and stalwart to so many here on FR; I feel privileged to be among them.

What a great man you had. With your description, he would be a man after my own heart, so I can certainly understand why you love him so much.
