It is with great sadness that I post this message.

A friend of mine and fellow Freeper (ExTexasRedhead) just lost her husband a few days ago. She has become a good friend. She is a fierce conservative, and a lady with love and compassion for her family and country. Please pass on your regards and sympathies.

Thanks for posting this. ExTexasRedhead contacted me that day, saying she would be off line and followed with the details. It was stunning news as she and I are pals off this site and email daily. Her husband and mine are both retired fliers( different services) so we have a lot in common as military wives ( and I am retired military myself).
The service for her husband will be mid July ( I know the date but reserve posting it here for now).
This was such a shock for her and she needs our thoughts and prayers as she moves through this nightmare. She is a great and strong gal and will survive but the days ahead are stressful and confusing just now..let her know we are all here for her..she will appreciate it more than you can imagine.

I am devastated beyond words for your loss and for not knowing of it until today, having been completely absorbed for the last week in preparing for a family reunion and memorial service for one of our cousins. I didn't read FR or even read emails.

May G-d hold you and your daughter and all your family and friends securely in His loving arms. I so wish I lived close enough to visit you now. You have been such a great friend and stalwart to so many here on FR; I feel privileged to be among them.

Oh, my sweet little FRiend, I was so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your wonderful Hero Husband and life’s partner. It’s so hard to lose the one that has always been there thru thick and thin. You have been such a good FRiend to me and we have shared some really special thoughts and conversations together. I’m so sorry that I’m now in TX, ‘cause if I were home I would put my arms you and be praying with you. As soon as we can get there, we’ll get together and that just may be the time, after all the dust settles and you really need someone to share with. That was always my loneliest times, when I needed someone most.

You try and take good care of yourself, be good to yourself and try to rest up. You are very loved by many people, I know, especially here on FR. Our FRamily here on FR are truly a wonderful bunch of friends and ever caring. I remember that so very well, when my soldier son was hit by an IED while on deployment in Iraq...they were there for me and my family, praying for and encouraging us all the way thru recovery...I will never forget their love and caring as long as I live. Take care my dear friend, you and your family are in my prayers and thoughts daily.
