Through June 16, 129 California companies have moved jobs, work and/or headquarters out of state, says Irvine business relocation expert Joe Vranich, who has been tracking what he calls "disinvestment events" for three years. That is 60 more since his last round-up April 15.
On average, 5.4 businesses are moving jobs, work and/or headquarters out of California each week, compared to 3.9 such moves per week in 2010, Vranich says.

Big business gave hundreds of millions of dollars to the Democrat party and Obama campaigns.
I don’t see big business holding cash to deliberately hurt Obama. I see big business holding cash because of a very uncertain future.
They are asking themselves “Will the administration balance the budget on our backs?” “Will they triple the penalty for not offering health insurance?” “Will the EPA find some way to destroy our manufacturing plants ability to produce at a profit?”
Without the prospect of long-term profitability, there is no justification for hiring employees. Most businesses do not see their purpose as being "employers of people". IF they did, how much profitability should be sacrificed per employee?
I encourage you NOT to think like the liberals, who consistently confuse cause and effect. Employment is a side-effect of business profitability, it is not the cause. Liberals will consistently attempt to subsidize the effect of something instead of the cause, and then wonder why their efforts are useless or counter-productive.
A business which failed to reduce employment to assure profitability threatens its very existence, including the employment of those who should be employed.

In some cases yes but looks like several state recruiters are making noise in CA.
That does seem to be the way people who voted for Obama think!
Listen, if Obama gets re-elected, don’t you think that those “poor & middle-class families” will be thrown to the wolves? But what’s more, our country is not likely to survive more of this. Take a lesson from Greece, Portugal, Italy, Ireland and Spain. How long do you think this kind of spending, printing money, high taxation, over-regulation, etc can last? Maybe we should just have a talk talk with the Left and explain to them that Socialism does not work.
OJ did it was my sarcasm tag
What I like about the OCR is they have this series on how many companies leave MEXIFORNIA and keep getting hate mails because they know it’s a lib state and broke.
If you really believe that, you’ve never been here. Yes, it’s a mess, but so is most of the rest of the country. Same story as California, only the numbers are smaller. In it’s best day Detroit was not remotely like California. Frankly both Obama and Brown are, in a perverse way a good thing in that they are both miserable failures. Brown is so deep in the mess he made the last time he was governor (i.e. most of the legislation that got us to where we are today came from him and his former chief of staff Grayout Davis, Arnold the Awful’s predecessor). It took two worthless aSSholes like GWB and Arnold to prompt the electorate to try Communism. Obama and Brown are once again proving that they are unable to pick up a turd by the clean end. The only fear I have is that Boner and his troika will fold like a house of cards and leave the voters with no choice at all.
No I don’t. Our nation can and will survive Obama’s second term.
