Three and a half years ago, Terry Pratchett, the beloved author of the Discworld series, announced that he has early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Now he's made an even more startling announcement.
Pratchett, who has campaigned in his native United Kingdom for the right of assisted suicide, has begun the formal process of assisted suicide in Switzerland, one of the few countries in the world to legalize euthanasia. Specifically, this would take place at Dignitas, a clinic that provides qualified doctors and nurses to assist with the patients' suicides.
Dignitas has sent Pratchett the paperwork he needs to sign to begin the assisted suicide processbut he has yet to sign it.

In case you hadnt noticed, OP is pro-euthanasia. FR is not.Really doesn't pertain to me. I was just commenting on Pratchettt's works. But it's typical how folks assume that someone--in this case an obvious Pratchett fan--who posts an article for discussion that doesn't meet with the approval of a select group of freepers is somehow up to something nefarious and therefore must be exposed as a troll.
Your crew is about as imposing as a flock of butterflies.

We seem to agree 100% on this issue, but seriously man, you have to quit calling everyone who sees things differently than you do a troll. Let's see, Free Republic is a pro-life, pro-God, conservative forum.
In contrast we have someone who believes in the culture of death, is an atheist who mocks Christians and believes that rights come from government rather than God.
What do you think we should call such a person?

Just that the stories got less funny and more dark as time when on. I don’t enjoy the later ones as much as I did the early ones.

Usually trolls like that don't last very long. Then again, some trolls have been here a very long time.************************************
Yes, they seem to reach a point where they can no longer keep up the pretense.

Ah, he’s gone. I suspect he is residing on another forum, perhaps being consoled by those of his kind.

Can I call you “Zot Bait?” You seem to attract all the trolls who are looking for assistance in being zotted.

Perhaps "Zot Coordinator" or "Zot Assistance Facilitator"?
Or "Zot Czar"? :)

Terry Pratchetts life belongs to him and his God. His life doesnt belong to the state, the church or busybodies on FR. A careful reading will show that this article isn't about anyone committing suicide, but rather plans for a premeditated murder. Regardless of Mr. Pratchett's current intent or oxymoronic phrases like "assisted suicide", any rationality the atheistic libertarian argument may have ends with the involvement of other people. The state, the church, and society have always had a legitimate interest in preventing and punishing murder.

A few years ago a troll I helped get zotted named Locke_2007 (who happens to remind me a lot of the troll who posted this thread) went over to EugenicsCentral and called me "Grand Inquisitor Wagglebee," I think that has a nice ring to it.
