btw: reading awesome book you would like; “in the garden of beasts”.

story of the american ambassador to germany 1933 onward. really an astounding book. especially since as early as 1933 the embassy staff is writing to washington with what turned out to be totally accurate predictions about Hitler, the Nazis, war intentions, jewish holocaust, etc etc. nobody wanted to believe.
also fascinating description of life day to day in the third reich and how terror is fostered and maintained.
