This was her 3rd year, and now it is not available again until she’s a rising Junior.
This particular one, for the middle schoolers and is a regional thing here on the eastern shore - I don’t know if other parts of VA have similar for the middle school -— remember this is a VERY isolated part of the Commonwealth.
I believe the program for rising juniors and seniors in VA is 4 weeks.
She is really bummed it's over for her now, for the next 3 years. However, there are 2 slots for student volunteer which only go to rising 8th graders that have completed the full 3 year program. She was the first one to sign up. If she's accepted, she will get to do it for the next 3 years, until it is time for the HS Governor's School. 2 added benefits - it would count toward her volunteer hours for Beta Club, and a leg up on her Governor's School application the following year.
That sounds like a great opportunity for her.
I should be so lucky. The truck in my neighborhood goes 40 miles an hour. Or did.

The one that used to come through here hasn’t lately. I wonder if the HOA got the Sheriff’s Department to tell them to buzz off. Used to drive by blasting that idiotic electronic Christmas music around 9:30 p.m.
The owner of the water dragon says they lost it while cleaning the cage this morning. I hope they find it. This is not a suitable habitat.

My car isn’t ready, oil pan needs to be replaced.
Previous owner replaced oil pan with one off of a 4 cylinder engine.
It will fit, but it is wrong.
Missus car, instrument panel is electonic.
Tach and Speedometer died.
Odometer works still, BUT... module in instrument cluster won’t talk to anything else.

There was a parade of people running in and out of here today but it was all good.
I managed to take a shower and rinse some of the blood and guck out of my hair, as well as clean and soften the wound. I also managed to eat some homemade soup and some yogurt, so I’m MUCH better than yesterday!
I’m almost on my way to bed, but I wanted to make sure all y’all know your prayers are working. ;o])

Tomorrow will be an even bigger improvement, I’m sure, but the hardest thing I have to do is turn over in bed. Then the dizziness strikes...at least now, I can control it.
