HOQUIAM, Wash. Police say a man was carrying a dead weasel when he burst into an apartment and assaulted a man in Washington state.
The victim asked, "Why are you carrying a weasel?" Police said the attacker answered, "It's not a weasel, it's a marten," then punched him in the nose and fled.

"You ladies are just down right weird........Bless your hearts" It won't take you long to fit in, Gabz. Stick around.
Have you been gently suggesting a military career for a certain young'un? Coast Guard seems intriguing.

Little Indians
Agatha Christie,
I remember seeing a old BW version for TV with Indians.
The currently published, not the original version, of the rhyme goes:
Ten little Soldier boys went out to dine;
One choked his little self and then there were nine.
Nine little Soldier boys sat up very late;
One overslept himself and then there were eight.
Eight little Soldier boys traveling in Devon;
One said he’d stay there and then there were seven.
Seven little Soldier boys chopping up sticks;
One chopped himself in halves and then there were six.
Six little Soldier boys playing with a hive;
A bumblebee stung one and then there were five.
Five little Soldier boys going in for law;
One got in Chancery and then there were four.
Four little Soldier boys going out to sea;
A red herring swallowed one and then there were three.
Three little Soldier boys walking in the zoo;
A big bear hugged one and then there were two.
Two Little Soldier boys sitting in the sun;
One got frizzled up and then there was one.[7]
One little Soldier boy left all alone;
He went out and hanged himself and then there were none.

Danged antlered rats! I've seen more than a few truckers going Aussie and putting bullbars on their rigs. These are NOT to be confused with those wimpy things you see on urban 4x4's down at the dealership. No, I'm talking serious 6000-series aluminum alloy tubing 10mm thick, through-welded into 100mm x 75mm uprights of high-temper extruded aluminum.
Mash here for specifications.

And I’m as average as most people under my circumstances.
John Fogerty is a good name. The water dragon is full grown, and it looks about the same size as Santana.

Im actually fairly normal as coasties go. Well good for you.
We headed for our local USCG station a bit later this morning, they're having an open house. The yung'un is looking forward to it.

We dont live near the coast. Living so close does have its advantages, however it also had some drawbacks - like hurricanes and nor'easters.
We haven't gone to the Station yet, but we're on Chincoteague. We're having dinner at a friend's and I needed to drop off food I brought. Hopefully she'll be home from her errand running before the open house ends. I'll need to borrow her car to go over because there is something definitely wrong with mine. I swear at times it seems my car spends more time broken down in her driveway than it spends at my house.

Ah yes, ‘brush guards’ for trucks.
The serious kind that will hamburgerize any deer in its path.

Have you been gently suggesting a military career for a certain young'un? Coast Guard seems intriguing. The (not so) subtle hints have been leaning towards Annapolis, not New Haven, but one never knows.
Alas we did not make it to the CG open house, by the time my friend got home, Jax was more interested in talking with her online friend in England and going by myself was just not gonna cut it.
