I’m a conservative and my profile sounded a lot like yours and I made it. Mybe its the prison record? :)
“Former Dean of Fuller Theological Seminary”
From what I have heard, this seminary is notoriously liberal.
SweetiePalm and I just celebrated our first anniversary last Sunday.
We met on eHarmony on the 4th of July 2007.
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)
LonePalm, le Républicain du verre cassé (The Broken Glass Republican)
And here I thought "Everlasting Love" was a song about Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles playing tennis.
My husband flunked e harmony too.
I met him on FreeRepublic.
There were no questions regarding employment status or income other than did I consider the income of a match “important or not”.
A practicing Christian friend of mine used eHarmony and found a gal in Wisconsin. He lives in NC, she moved here, they got married and are approaching their 6th anniversary.
My spouse and I met online at match.com. We did post photos and had 2 conservative weed-out factors (importance of personal belief in Christ and support for the military). Made sure these topics came up in discussion early on with anyone who really seemed interesting. Didn’t meet for several weeks and then in a neutral and very public place. It was fun and neither of us was desperate. When we open the doors, God leads us on.
CONGRATULATIONS!!
Just for fun, my dear husband of 50+ years and I have thought about signing up at one of these dating sites to see if they would match us up. We met on a blind date when I was 16 and he was 22 and there has never been anyone else for us. When I see the horrible divorces suffered my family and friends I know how lucky we are.
I hope you find someone wonderful very soon.
Keep in mind, as a couple of commenters have said:
A: eHarmony has been sold, and likely the new owners changed around a lot of NCW’s original 29 compatibility parameters and made them more PC.
B: Fuller Seminary is liberal and PC to begin with.
>>And here I thought “Everlasting Love” was a song about Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles playing tennis.<<
That earned a well-deserved LOL!!!
Personally, I would count it about as valid, as a definition of myself, as those quizes in Teen Magazine.
It's the jungle but Match is your only hope because it has an enormous database of people and simple percentages mean you will be most likely to actually find someone you will be happy with. It makes no pretense of scientific matching, only a wild jungle of people across the spectrum (trust me, plenty you would not want to be involved with - YIKES the stories I could tell!!!) who are available and looking. It isn't for dating nubes, but as they say - ya gotta go where the people are. Worked for me...
My match for you is Gertrude (The Girth). I'll hold the last name till you see her pictures. One just wouldn't be enough.
Yes, she does have her dentures out, they're at the garage being repaired, but she'll have back when you actually meet.
Gertrude has a great personality, in fact, she has several great personalities, just ask her third husband.
She's very conservative, she's conserved every donut and hamburger she ever ate and most of the mustard is conserved on the front of her Carharts.
The Girth has tears of joy running down her many chins.
My wife and I met at Match.com. We’ve been married 8 years now.
Now, that's funny, right there. I don't care who you are.
My wife and I met on SeniorFriendfinder.com and we've been married for almost six years now. At the time, I was a widower and lived in Belton, TX, near Fort Hood, and she was a widow living west of Fort Worth in Azle, about two and a half hours away. She thought that it would be too far for me to travel while we were dating, but I told her "I have a car and I'm not afraid to use it ..." After a couple of weeks of online chat and telephone conversations, we made arrangements to haev our first actual date.
I met her at a Waffle House near an interstate exit close to where she lived, and she got in my car to go to a restaurant nearby. I surprised her by bringing her flowers. I drove us to the restaurant and, after we had dinner, she asked me back to her house. We got back in my car and she started to direct me to her house. We had traveled about a mile when I just had to ask her if she had forgotten something. She said, "No," and I asked, "What about your car?" She blushed and directed me back to her car, after which I followed her to her house.
Everything has gone great since that point ...
My Norwegian wife and I met 8 years ago on Match.com (married for 5) Christian and conservative were top priorities forus (along with being tall :-). I can’t say I’ve regretted a day.
P.S. Was on EHarmony for about a mont but dropped after I met my (future)wife.
I met my boyfriend on Zoosk.com. We both teach Sunday school at very similar churches, are conservative and have the same since of humor.
The funniest part is we’ve worked about 6 blocks from each other for years and had no idea the other existed.
