Their relationship began in the most romantic of ways at a sun-drenched holiday resort in a foreign land. But Sarah Ben Mileds surprising love story is now the stuff of nightmares.
She is hiding out alone in a safe-house, terrified that the man she loved and married two years ago will find her and exact an appalling revenge for the failure of their short and ill-fated marriage.
Sarahs story is a cautionary tale for anyone with idealised notions of whirlwind love and holiday romance.
From a middle-class background, with a long-established life in Britain as a chef, Sarah was living in a respectable two-bedroom Victorian home in Plymouth.
Today she is a woman ruing the moment she fell for the charms of 21-year-old Tunisian hotel worker Marai Ben Miled.
The police have intelligence that he plans to kill me, then himself, says Sarah, a 42-year-old mother-of-three.
He sends me text messages threatening to slit my throat from ear-to-ear, just as he used to slaughter sheep in his village back home.

“thought he was The One”
I thought it was a story about America & bummer.
Did she marry that crazy Muslim guy that’s raging at every protest? I only ask because it totally sounds like something he would say, LOL.
You're right. I didn't grasp it at first because I don't associate "virility and masculinity" with "teenage Moslem emo-boi," but clearly there's a subgroup of women whose ideal "man" is an adolescent son they have sex with.
I wonder where this woman's three teenage children have been through all this fiasco. Safe with their father, I hope.
...you're a mature, grounded adult who views the world through a lens of moral clarity :-)
Not uncommon. Especially lonely women on cruise ships or vacations in faraway places. Other places this happens is when women attend immigrant churches or the church brings immigrants in to help “diversity.”
Why, thank you. I think you’re one of those, as well.
You beat me to it. LOL!!
The difference between the US and Britain is that in the US, the lady of the house walks around with a .45/410 in her purse and has the intention of using it on the creep if he comes near her.
And lives her life normally.
i like and agree with all your previous remarks.
but, Huma is NOT Muslim. OR, he IS.
She was a srict muslima, raised in Saudi Arabia, and her Father has ties to Muslim Brotherhood. so she KNOWS
it is haram (forbidden) for a muslima to marry a kuffir.
she would immediately be cast our of Islam.
(according to the Quran and Sharia law.)
the ONLY way she could be a muslim still,
is if he secretly converted to Islam.
(all according to the Quran, and confirmed by my Imam,
who was trained at Al-Azhar in Egypt.)
This sort of “tourist scam” happens all over the world. As much as I like Thailand, the “bar girls” there are justly famous for sucking the bank accounts of middle age Farangs dry. Not so violent perhaps but painful for the stupid. In this article, one look at the expressions on the faces mother, brother and nephew tell the story. Here the Islamic anger presents a critical danger to the woman.
“I doubt Ill ever have another relationship.”
In hiding with threats against her life from this failed “relationship”, at least 2 failed relationships before that one and she’s worrying about who she will sleep with next. Good grief, use your brain woman.
I notice they don’t mention the guy is a Muslim, I am betting he is.
The police have intelligence that he plans to kill me, then himself, says Sarah, a 42-year-old mother-of-three.
Yep.
It was his "charms" she fell for; probably lucky charms too.
>>> She was incredibly lonely and yearning for love
