Google the authors of this book. Bet you find out a lot.

I understand how you feel, I feel like this for a good part of every day.

Have no articles to recommend but one thing I strongly recommend is that you write down the names of the authors of this textbook and look them up on the Internet. You might find interesting information about them. Proof that they have an agenda for certain organizations.

Hope some other freepers can help you with articles.

Stand your ground, but contact your Dean before proceeding. Let him/her know that any low grade not supported by quantitative evidence will be the basis for a lawsuit.

A society can be defined by that which it holds sacrosanct ("sacrosanct" = extremely sacred or inviolable; not to be entered or trespassed upon; above or beyond criticism, change, or interference.)

There are two things that our societal elites hold sacrosanct above all else:

1. Obama's official life narrative.

2. The activity of one male in attempting to copulate with the hindquarters of another male.

You might try Dennis Prager if you want some ammo.

A Masters in Counseling? I hope you aren’t attending an expensive university. Good luck!

Unless you’re in the ministry you’re really in the wrong place. You can’t make counseling a career because you’ll say something like “if you’re making a sexuality CHOICE you’re making the wrong one.” Then you’ll lose your job and the guy will sue you and take to court for causing irreparable emotional harm; and, that’s probably a hate crime.

BTW, I’m taking Microsoft Certification classes. They give you a scenario and then you do the Power Point or Excel problem. They generally start; “You’re an employee of the UniWork, company organizing volunteers worldwide. UniWork is highly respected by the United Nations for its contributions to mankind.” You have to wade through this guff before you can start learning the software.

You don’t have to ~believe~ what the class teaches, you just have to effectively regurgitate it. Then you can get your Masters and write your own book. :-)

I hate to tell you this, but they’ve even affected your language. You refer to normal couples as “heterosexual,” but you refer to homosexuals as “gay.”

You might want to read the Townhall commentaries by columnist Mike Adams. Adams is a conservative college professor who writes about his clashes with the liberal college establishment.

You should also read the writings of Robin of Berkeley at American Thinker. Robin is a reformed liberal psychologist with a practice in Berkeley, California. Start with her first column, and go from there. She writes about her personal conflicts with her new beliefs and the responsibilities she feels as a counselor.

Someone needs to update “Fahrenheit 451”.

But in the new version, books will already been banned and burned. Kindles and I-pods will have been smashed to smithereens.

Instead, a twenty something couple, a hetero couple with their new child will be hiding out in a basement somewhere.

But don’t worry. The Gay Guardians are hot on their tracks.

Will they end up captured and sterilized? Will they get sent to SOCamps (sexual orientation camps)? What will happen to their young child, will he be euthanized because he had seen those perversions going on?

You’ll have to buy the book to find out.

Problem is, THIS AIN’T NO DAMN NOVEL!!!!

Itemize the benefits of mothers individually, and the benefits of fathers individually, and then say that who would want to deliberately eliminate one of those sets of benefits if the child would be better off with both?

Maybe Focus on the Family has some resources. I seem to remember them saying that a father has a beneficial effect on the self-esteem of a daughter, so she doesn’t become promiscuous. I presume they had a study to back that up. Also, most of the men in prison did not have a father in the home. I think there are statistics on that, too. So fathers are important.

La Leche League probably has some materials on mothers and fathers and bonding. Although they mostly focus on helping mothers nurse babies, they incorporate fathers into the picture as important as well to a baby’s family life. Maybe they have some studies or statistical information. They can definitely make the argument that mothers are irreplaceable and that two guys would NOT be the same as parents.

Recognize it for the stupidity it is, then just get through it.

The dominant culture holds the belief that biological sex determines gender identity, gender identity determines gender role, and gender role determines sexual orientation.

No, my sexual orientation was determined by the fact that I was born with a

....I am so pissed off at the dismissive attitude the authors take toward those who have legitimate concerns about the long -term effects on children....

I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut that the authors are homosexuals, but of course, no bias there right?
