I think Tim Pawlenty will be the last man standing and get the nomination (vanity)

This is just, of course, a prediction on my part but here's why:

1. As a former governor, he has executive experience and, from what I understand, he was a pretty good governor. After 4 years of Obozo's incompetence, the American people are longing for a competent administrator.

2. Unlike Romney, who still refuses to disavow Romneycare, Pawlenty came out of the gate admitting he was wrong on Cap and Trade. That was a smart move, and it takes takes that monkey off his back. And two other competing governors, Daniels and Huck, are out of the race.

3. Unlike Palin and Newt, Pawlenty has an uncontroversial past (as far as I know) and doesn't appear to have any significant issues from his past that the rabid lame-stream media could use against him.

4. He's not AS conservative as many of us would like but, on the other hand, he won't have any problems getting the Independent voters and as we all know, without them, we can't win.

That’s simply not true. Our party makes its endorsements based on proven adherence to the fundamental principles of this free republic, not on something so unimportant as what letter is by a candidate’s name.

A few of the real Republicans who have earned our support so far:

VA Atty. General Ken Cuccinelli

U.S. Senate candidate, now congressional candidate, Sharron Angle of Nevada

Delegate Don Dwyer of Maryland

State Senator Paul Sanford of Alabama

Representative Kim Pearson of Iowa

Representative Tom Shaw of Iowa

By the way, our California affiliate recently endorsed Republican Craig Huey in the congressional special election which just took place. They helped push him ahead of Sec. of State Debra Bowen and give him the needed second place finish in the new jungle primary. If they hadn’t, the only two choices available to the voters in the run off election would have been Democrats.

If so then say hello to four more years of Obamarx... T Paw isn’t going to excite anyone. In fact, none of the current crop that is “in” has a chance of winning.

Agree with all of that. For me, personally, I would vote for Christie but he won’t run and Obama will be re-elected. I would say the odds are 80%+ right now. The GOD field is ridiculously weak.

No, that will last until he wraps up the nomination.

Well, my point is right even if my starting gun is wrong ;)

It is like the old saw: "if you want to know all the skeletons in your family closet, run for office." The NEW saw is "be GOP and run for office."

Palin is now more powerful out of office than she was Governor.

Quitting was the best thing that has ever happened to her and the conservative movement.

"You can't win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."

>>If the election were held today between Zero and Palin, Palin just might carry Alaska and Utah.<<

Now you went and did it! The P-zombies will be along any minute to tell you that anyone who doesn’t think Mrs. Palin is the 2nd coming of Ronald Reagan, Harry Truman, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington and will win even if she doesn’t run is a commie, statist, DUer, KOSter faggot.

Then they will eat your BRAINS!

Pawlenty's sins: 1. Minnesota Health Care; 2. Cap and Trade; 3. Banned tobacco use.

I know democrats who are more conservative than Pawlenty. Romney is more conservative than Pawlenty, and Romney is the prototypical rino.

Don’t count on it...the attacks have already begun. I just got done reading a very sensationalistic article that claimed that he “wiped a serial child molester’s record clean in 2008”. I’m not going to bother posting a link because I don’t want to give this particular site traffic; if you want to read the bs that passes for journalism you can Google it (or pm me and I will send you the link). Liberals are vicious when they feel threatened.
