You probably spend all of one second deciding what kind of milk to put in your coffee. What's to debate? If you want to keep the pounds off and avoid heart disease, choose skim. This is gospel, after all: It's recommended by the USDA and has so permeated our thinking that you can't even find reduced-fat (2%) milk at places like Subwayand forget about whole.

If you drank skim milk every day for a month or two and went back to whole — you’d hurl from the all the disgusting fat in your mouth. Like drinking liquified marbling from a steak.
I wonder if that could be the cause of lactose intolerance.
No, it’s because it’s not processed in high volume factory conditions. Therefore costs more for the farmer.
Pasteurized skim please.
I don’t buy to much organic, a little to pricey. Would love to find someone I could buy raw milk from too but, it’s more illegal than pot. We have a garden ever year and have slowly been expanding the amount we grow. We go wild berry picking mid-late summer and put up a lot of jams and preserves. We have one big old cherry tree and large old apple orchard. The apple trees are probably 50-60 maybe older but still we get a lot of good apples from them.
It reminds me of drinking water from a glass that someone forgot to rinse the milk out of. Yuck. Not to my taste, but to those who like it, enjoy.

You couldn’t be more wrong. People who are protein types love the richness of whole milk. Skim milk is disgusting to them.
BTW, you might want to go back and read the article to see all the extra unhealthy junk added to skim milk.
Also, studies show that skim milk promotes obesity in kids, whole milk does not.
My grandfather (doctor) always told us, only babies need milk, and what they need is human mothers milk. Other than ice cream, I don’t drink the stuff, yuk.
$5 would be great...
We pay $4.25 for a half gallon of raw milk.
It’s worth every penny!
This article is so incredibly flawed and attempts to make connections where they simply don’t exist.
It’s about calories. You can eat Twinkies all day as long as you expend more calories than the Twinkies you eat.
Dr. Atkins pointed out long ago that skim milk has far too many carbs and people tend to drink glasses of it at a time because it feels so unsatisfying. One was better off in his opinion using a small amount of heavy whipping cream for coffee and never drinking milk at all.
If the milk jug doesn’t have a red cap, I don’t buy it.
I’ve always subscribed to your grandfather’s point of view. I stopped drinking milk when I was 5 (I’m now 60) but still eat other dairy products. Milk is for baby cows who need to build the fat. To me it has always tasted like crap.
When I switched back to whole milk, I started by pouring it over strawberries, with just a sprinkling of sugar. It’s as good as strawberries with cream, but less expensive than pure cream.
Skim milk is seen by the body as mostly Sugar. Fat doesn’t make you fat, if it’s good, healthy saturated fat. Sugar and grains make you fat.
When you choose between (USA) organic and non-organic, you are choosing between a food that avoided using hormones, pesticides, herbicides, and one that did not.
If I held up two apples for you to choose from, and told you that one contained neurotoxic pesticides that cumulatively lead to cancer and Parkinson’s later in life, and the other one did not, which do you want?
If you want garbage in your food you can have it. I know a place where they sell sugar coated plastic you can chew on they call fruit roll-ups. Sugar flavored drinks they call apple juice... all nasty for your health.
But if you wish to be a creature of Walmart, I advise you eat as much as you can of processed food.
It is obvious from your rant that you have ingested to much of what you have accused me of doing or want me to do! Cut down on your sugar!
