A teenager from Kanawha County has admitted to beating and robbing an elderly woman.
UPDATE 5/16/11 @ 11:30 a.m. CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A teenager from Kanawha County has admitted to beating and robbing an elderly woman.
Shane Peck pleaded guilty Monday to robbery and assault. Click here to find out more!
Peck and another teenager, Joseph Gibson, broke into Geraldine Gibson's house in Big Chimney back in March. That is when police say they beat and robbed her.
Geraldine Gibson was hurt so badly she was in ICU for days after the crime.
Peck and Gibson say Geraldine's son came up with the plan to rob the house and he was actually supposed to keep her in the back of the house, while Peck and Gibson broke in.
Geraldine's son denies those allegations that were made in court. He has never been charged.
Peck will be sentenced July 7.
Gibson pleaded guilty last week to similar charges.

Could we not turn these idiots over to the SEALs for their weakly maintenance tng? Nope, not to make them SEALS. Make them the things SEALs use to maintian their ability to inflict pain.
See now if the seasoned citizen had been armed, we could have avoided the expensive trial.
Yup, and then we could have seen the little low life in ICU instead of a seasoned citizen. How low on the planet can some people go? Do they realize how despicable they are?

The Peck kid was a fugitive, with a local warrant hanging over him, and they couldn't find him in over a year? In Kanawha County? Spare me. All they would have had to do was question a couple of his friends.
IMHO, in regard to pursuing outstanding warrants, the Sheriff's departments all over this country are a disgrace. In every county there are literally hundreds of warrants out for those wanted for violent crimes. Rather than round up the bad guys, who are usually right out in the open, even receiving welfare of some sort, the Sheriff's Deputies spend their time harassing tax payers, who are admittedly a whole lot less likely to shoot them than the local tough guys.
I am not very afraid of a punk home invasion. I will lay those dirt bags out on a cold slab.
A SWAT team home invasion is a different story. I will end up on a cold slab. Just hope I can take some of them with me.
I am more afraid of “duly constituted authority” than I am of street punks.
What a fantastic country. Everybody should come here. >s
