Seth MacFarlane - the guy behind the Family Guy is bringing The Flintstones to Fox.
The announcement was made today. Production will start this fall. The Flintstones will launch in 2013 launch.
One of the first things I ever drew was Fred Flintstone, MacFarlane told advertisers. As for his re-imagination, he said the show has to keep up with the times but some things will remain familiar for old fans. The characters will look the same but the only thing that will change is the stories, he said. Whats the [prehistoric] version of an Ipod?

I hope they don't ruin it..Seth MacFarlane is the same clown who churns out hour after our of left wing propaganda every Sunday evening. He'll probably turn Fred into some kind of commie.
I won't and don't watch anything this guy touches.

Maybe Bam Bam will come out of the closet. It is 2011 after all.

I was thinking the same thing. Sickening.

I like "Family Guy" at times - it can be very funny occasionally. But there's a lot of mediocre-to-bad writing and they clearly struggle to come up with material for the half hour they get each week. Yesterday they filled 5 minutes of the show with an entire '80s music video as the punch line for one gag.

So yeah, this "Flintstones" remake is probably going to blow.

This is one show (of many) I will not watch. I loved “The Flintstones”, and I won’t let this joker ruin it for me.

Whats the bet that Seth makes Fred and Barney Life Partners and Betty and Wilma radical feminists to keep it fresh and modern?

Given Seth’s previous shows and political inclinations he’ll put a modern twist on a “gay old time.” This will flop, nobody wants to see the likely political overtones Seth’s new Flintstones will likely take.

    hahah!
You know, I recently rented a move that I really enjoyed. It was “Devil”, by M. Knight Shamalon, who has made a lot of bad movies, but this wasn’t one of them.
This was a perfectly spun tale with unknown actors and ZERO special effects, and it was just awesome! Scared me to death too.
Some of the best movies I have enjoyed have no special effects in them whatsoever.
Nothing quite like a good story.
