Seth MacFarlane - the guy behind the Family Guy is bringing The Flintstones to Fox.

I like "Family Guy" at times - it can be very funny occasionally. But there's a lot of mediocre-to-bad writing and they clearly struggle to come up with material for the half hour they get each week. Yesterday they filled 5 minutes of the show with an entire '80s music video as the punch line for one gag.

So yeah, this "Flintstones" remake is probably going to blow.

Nothing like 5 minutes of 40 year old Conway Twitty footage.

Family Guy is very funny when it’s not overtly political. The first couple of seasons were hilarious, then it went full retard liberal. I loved the episode when Quagmire went off on Brian for being a hypocritical left winger. I was surprised, because McFarlane voices both characters. And the Rush Limbaugh episode was surprisingly good, too.
