“Paul is best to be placed in cabinet level position with enough power to attack the fed the audit the living crap out of it.”
I concur.
I would like to see him put in charge of one federal department after another, with a time deadline on how soon he can dismantle each one and fire the bureaucrats.

You may wish to argue whether it is better to suffer from pneumonia or from cholera.
Conservatives, however, would prefer to do without either Comrade O or El Run Paulie. As Sister Frances Julie used to say to her kindergarteners: "Good, better, best. Never let them rest until your good is better and your better is best." That probably was not original with her but it qwas wisdom nonetheless. Note that she made no room for pathetically treasonous (El Run Paulie) or even more pathetically treasonous (Comrade O).

I am surprised at you!
No ocean protects us from the traitors within who send our citizen soldiers abroad and then give them over to the United Nations and the ISAF who determine the rules of engagement for our troops. That's why George the globalist Bush said the Iraq war and middle east engagements would take 30 years! They won't let our citizen soldiers actually WIN, they have a different agenda, and it comes at a price of corrupting our military and placing them under the leadership of foreign powers. That's why they can't shoot unless they're shot at first and that's why they train soldiers in the Afghan national army who later attack our outposts and kill the Americans who trained them! I despise this travesty on our military!
Please take a look at this 'declaration' for ongoing involvement in Afghanistan.
This declaration is intended to be coherent with international efforts, under UN leadership, to support Afghanistan as part of a comprehensive approach. It builds upon the Declaration by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan of 6 September 2006 and existing programmes under the Afghan Cooperation Programme, as most recently endorsed by the North Atlantic Council on 1 March 2010, and the Building Integrity Initiative and NATO Afghan First Policy. It is also intended to be consistent with the provisions of the Afghan National Development Strategy.
The upshot of this 'declaration' by foreign powers and the UN, is that OUR soldiers are executing the engagement for the UN, not the American people. OUR soldiers are dying for some agenda the UN and Europe has in mind, its not for the American people.
Would that the ocean could protect us, but no, too many politicians, corrupted by globalists and the transnational corporations they favor, are send us into trumped up battles, because after all, globalist Clinton and globalist Bushes all declared we are INTERDEPENDENT, not Independent!

You believe libertarianism and Christianity are somehow in conflict?
How so please?
Hmm, now we have people trying to read between the lines. Kindly explain, in that case, where libertarianism has a moral base?
Ron Paul is a foreign policy dove, whose policy thereby would subvert the USA's sovereignty. His morality is highly questionable, and his social leanings are liberal. That also makes his fiscal and economic claims look suspect, since you need morality to back them up. The man plays both sides of the aisle far too much to be taken seriously. His stance on Israel leaves that country to its enemies (and our enemies).
The purpose of the quotes from the Founding Fathers is to show that they are quite far away from libertarian tenets, especially their more anarchistic ones that let immoral folk get a free pass.

It took me a while to make up my mind about Ron Paul. His UBL execution position settled it. I strongly disagree with 50% of what he has to say. I strongly agree with 50% of what he has to say. 1 - 1 = 0 vote.

Paul is a Constitutionalist. No more. No less. What exactly is wrong with that? He is a Libertarian and a mess.

I see Paul (perhaps I am projecting) as an isolationist.
Considering every foreign entanglement we have involved ourselves in the last two decades has weakened, bankrupted and de-industrialized America.
I can’t honestly see a downside. Clearly what we’re doing now, isn’t working.

Please take a look at post 84.
George Bush placed our troops under the command of the UN in Afghanistan.
You talk about phony republicans/conservatives. You can’t get phonier than that!

Full disclosure: Im a libertarian (small-l) It is my opinion, our founders were as well. Freedom is libertarian. It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded ... on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Patrick Henry
God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure if we have removed their only firm basis: a conviction in the minds of men that these liberties are the gift of God? Thomas Jefferson
We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us ... to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God. James Madison
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin
No, the founders were not libertarian.

Wrong on all fronts...
What has caused us supposedly to be deindustrilized was not cause of wars, but cause of the stupid unions and the idiots they control in Government.. Never mind that we do have factories in this country...
