Unless Sarah or Bachmann runs, I am going with Ron Paul or Cain.

Sarah is still my first choice by far, but Ron Paul is right up there.

Screw these nanny state, police state, obama state, bog govt hacks. i’m sick of it.

Considering every foreign entanglement we have involved ourselves in the last two decades has weakened, bankrupted and de-industrialized America.

Yeah, lets keep that up and maybe increase foreign aid. The printing presses are barely smoking.

Anything paleoPaulie has to say needs to be heard by a competent psychiatrist in preparation for sending him permanently to Happy Acres with his new suit with the arms attached at the wrist behind his back. If he does hot think it useful to blow bin Laden’s brain to Kingdom Come, then that is the problem of pathetic Paulie and it need not be shared by Americans who need no re-runs of Neville Chamberlain in the Oval Office.

Please take a look at post 84. George Bush placed our troops under the command of the UN in Afghanistan. You talk about phony republicans/conservatives. You can’t get phonier than that
And this unsolicited reference means . . . ? Not that I don't agree with the anti-globalist notion, mind you, but I don't see the overall connection to Paul. And why do you have to have "republicans/conservatives" as a slashed compound word? I don't see them as the same.

Oh yes he did.

You cannot deny that the American people are not the ones prosecuting the war in Afghanistan we’re just being made to fight it, at US taxpayer expense.

It is clearly documented that the UN, at the Bonn Conference, created the ISAF to prosecute any actions in Afghanistan.

Not the American people, not the US congress, no declaration of war and NOTHING to inform the American people of how this ‘war’ is being run.

The fact is, with Congress out of the picture in an undeclared war run by the UN, the American people have no recourse— you can’t very well write a letter to your congressman and be represented because the criminals in the UN and Nato don’t believe in representative government.

Please note that the Bonn Conference, 2001 is during the Bush administration. The Afghan declaration, 2006, is during the Bush administration!

Ron Paul is old, he shouldn’t even be in congress.

Paul is a delight. He is making inroads among the young college educated by teaching “original intent”, which having been ignored utterly by our presidents from both sides of the aisle, now has us in all but shackles.

Paul deserves a hearing and I am thinking he is a thinker! He makes me think. He is jolting; a slap across the jaw to wake up! I like that.

(I’m still non-committed and quite prepared to vote for ANYBODY BUT OBAMA, and cheerfully.)

>>> What has caused us supposedly to be deindustrilized was not cause of wars, but cause of the stupid unions and the idiots they control in Government.. Never mind that we do have factories in this country... >>>

Well of course you are right. But you can’t convince some people of that on FR. They are all about limited government, except to protect THEIR pet cause - which is job protection. Never mind that what we buy, what we do and what we don’t do and what we import and what we export is the direct result of millions of individuals and companies making buying, selling, hiring, firing, quitting and application decisions in freedom and in their best interests.

No need for bigger government.

None at all.

Tariffs across the board. All imports.

Two people in a cubicle could administer it.

What do you think of the UN directing our engagements in Afghanistan and Libya? You support the idea that the UN should control our troops? Our fellow citizen soldiers?

OH, not bigger government - just higher taxes as a way to try and manage people’s behavior to suit your definition of fairness and your idea for economic prosperity. Because in your mind, the buying and selling and hiring and firing decisions of 300 million Americans does not fit what YOU think is right. Talk about a fair weather conservative.

I get it. Fine. But you are not small government person with that belief system. I’m sorry, you just aren’t.

Sure I am.

Free unfettered trade within out borders.

Ruthless America first outwards. We either do this, or we collapse. Seriously. It’s what our adversaries do. We for who knows what reason - are determined to pretend otherwise.

I sure don’t get why. But there’s no question, we are quite determined not to see. It’s baffling.

How does social liberalism equal anti-constitution? It is a serious question. I’m not trying to pick a fight, I seriously want to know what parts of social conservative platform can be directly supported by clauses in the constitution.

None of the currently running republican candidates can overcome Obama’s maufactured cult of personality.

The current field is a bunch of duds.

While Obama’s cult of personality is completely manufactured, that illusion is reality, and only someone with a greater cult of personality will beat him.

It doesn’t matter what Paul is or is not, he will never be president, and that is all there is to it.

just higher taxes

Taxes on foreign countries. No taxes on US citizens.

Oh by the way free traitors pushed for the income tax as a way to force the cost of the government on wage earners, just so foreign countries and the transnational corporations don't have to pay for the privilege of bringing foreign produced goods to this country. The privilege by rights that should be granted by the American people, and not traitors in the government and their transnational donors who have worked tireless to bring products of communist slave labor and slaves back to the United States and have taxpayers fund their enterprises through the US trade representatives office.

So your position is anti-individual and pro-corporatist fascism supporting taxes on wages. The Founders did NOT support that in anyway, because taxes on wages undermines the concept of property!
