"Matchett-PI adores replacement theology and hates the rapture." "Replacement Theology" is a derogatory term made up by dispensationalists used to label anyone who believes in Covenant (of grace & faith) Theology.

Good post about amillennialism. It’s heartening to see someone standing up with a spirited defense of the most plausible of the three major views. I don’t see a rapture separated from judgment day in Scripture (premill), or for Darby’s 19th C. invention of dispensationalism. I also don’t see a basis for conflating this world with Christ’s spiritual kingdom.

Hi esquirette, I introduced you to Matchett-PI because he is the clearest one I have found on amill, pretersist and partial preterist positions on FR. You mentioned that you tend toward partial preteist. You now have some good sources on FR as look for answers today. Obviously, Matchett-PI and I are on opposite sides of the debate that is OK. You are free to ask the Holy Spirit for the truth. Remember saying I don't know is a good place to be. I agree with Matchett-PI that he hates the term replacement theology and I embrace it and will continue to use it.
