May 21, "starting in the Pacific Rim at around the 6 p.m. local time hour, in each time zone, there will be a great earthquake,". The true Christian believers will be "raptured": They'll fly upward to heaven.
"and on top of all that, there's no more salvation at that point. 153 days later that the entire universe and planet Earth will be destroyed."
"I no longer think about 401(k)s and retirement," he says. "I'm just a lot less stressed, and in a way I'm more carefree."
Brown is married with several young children, and none of them shares his beliefs. It's caused a rift with his wife but he says that, too, was predicted in the Bible.
But it appears that many became believers in 2009 after turning on Family Radio, a Christian network. Camping's predictions have inspired other groups to rally behind the May 21 date. People have quit their jobs and left their families to get the message out.
"Knowing the date of the end of the world changes all your future plans," says Adrienne Martinez.
She thought she'd go to medical school, until she began tuning in to Family Radio. She and her husband decided they wanted to spend their remaining time with their infant daughter.
"Why are we going to work for more money? "
"We budgeted everything so that, on May 21, we won't have anything left," Adrienne adds.
I've asked a dozen of Camping's followers the same question. Everyone said even entertaining the possibility that May 21 would come and go without event is an offense to God. They all hope they'll be raptured.
"If I'm here on May 22, and I wake up, I'm going to be in hell," says Brown
On the other hand, he will presumably have lots of company.

Question: Full preterism is wrong why? I assume because John wrote Revelation in AD 90 and the temple was destroyed in AD 70? Don't full preterists try to date it before?
Some wonderful FRiends:Quix, Alamo-Girl, GiovannaNicoletta, have much wisdom about the times we live in.
Mad Dawg is a wonderful catholic that follows replacement theology but is willing to discuss.
Matchett-PI is a brilliant partial preterist that adores replacement theology and hates the rapture.
Thanks Bro.
You are a very Bright, Sensitive, Anointed, Loving, Truth loving, God loving, Christian loving, informed, aware, awake, astute, discerning, motivated, diligent . . . Treasure of a Brother. Very honored to know you.
It seems sometimes that with the world rushing toward Armageddon with super chaotic convoluted, self-defeating, irrational craziness as a refueling point on the way . . .
that FR is determined to race the world toward chaotic self-defeating decompensation.
I never thought I’d see the day that the MSM’s constructions on reality were held to be of a higher priority for FR than honest earnest bright Christian Conservative FREEPERS analyzing data, evidence, . . .
Bitterness, hostility, resentments et al from long standing are probably not the best foundation to base wise decisions on . . . even IF the bitterness, hostility and resentments were originally understandable.
God calls all Christians to utter forgiveness. No option.
AMEN QUIX! Your actions on FR prove you understand this very well. Thank You for your example to me these 10 or so years I have know you as a FRiend. BTW Forgiveness DOES NOT MEAN YOU BECOME A DOORMAT PEOPLE. It means you love all people where they are at and want them to grow. Strong words and convictions are sometimes Holy Spirit inspired.
Thanks for your humbling kind words.
I agree with your other points wholesale.
"Replacement Theology" is a derogatory term made up by dispensationalists used to label anyone who believes in Covenant (of grace & faith) Theology.

I do know that there is one only way of salvation, through Jesus. I do know from the Bible that the Lord changes not, does not make mistakes, orders all things for His glory.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up 2 Peter 3:10
Good post about amillennialism. It’s heartening to see someone standing up with a spirited defense of the most plausible of the three major views. I don’t see a rapture separated from judgment day in Scripture (premill), or for Darby’s 19th C. invention of dispensationalism. I also don’t see a basis for conflating this world with Christ’s spiritual kingdom.
Thank you so much for your encouragement, dear brother in Christ!
Thank you. I agree!
Thanks, and pleased to meet you. The secret here, I think, is that prophecy in the Bible can be fulfilled more than once. God often gives us a glimpse and then the full picture. I see the point of preterism, but current events are very persuasive.
I agree with you
Hi GiovannaNicoletta, Do you have any good links to why Matthew 24 fits both AD 70 and the end times?
What I hate are lies.
I agree Matchett-PI is the best on this topic on FR.
Mad Dawg agrees with amill teaching but I don't remember him discussing it much. He does have a great heart for Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hi Matchett-PI, I hate lies too. Replacement theology is a lie.
For instance Camping who says the rapture will happen tomorrow is a victim of the replacement theology lie. I do not see him discussing the role of Israel much in his analysis. He thinks the church replaced Israel.
The key to holistic Bible prophecy understanding is the role of Israel.
