Prayers for you!

My only suggestion is to stay with her or have somebody else stay with her. Nobody wants to die alone, no matter what they say, and you or somebody else should be sitting there with her at all times.

I live next door to a convent and they always have the sisters sitting with a dying sister and they never ever leave them alone.

Pray or read out loud to her. Hearing is the last sense to go, so make sure she hears good words.

And God bless you and your mom.

We have that covered. I cancelled going to Christian retreat was going to this weekend. In addition to me, my wife, both daughters, my sister, and my best childhood friend—who my Mom always called her "second son"—who happened to be visiting from Indiana, are all here to sit vigil with her.

Some good news... She is more alert. She awoke and asked for my younger daughter—her caregiver—and was able to answer some questions. The doctor says that she is not out of the woods though. The numbers on all the tests look very bad.

Get a tube GOOD of bleach wipes and wipe down all surfaces in the room. Hospitals may look clean, but they are full of very nasty germs. I agree with livius have a family member stay with her, never ever leave them alone.

If you can’t read to her put her favorite gospel songs on an disc and play them for her to hear.
