I am sorry My FRiend. I know what a mixed bag scenario this is having just experienced it with my mom recently.
There is never a good time to say goodbye to mom. no matter how sick or old they are -— -mom is mom

Years ago I went to the viewing of a teenaged daughter of a friend. There was a long line. I felt horrible for Stan.
When I got to him he looked at me and said, "I'm the one who is supposed to be falling apart, not you."
At 95, she lived so long that she might have had to bury you. At least there is the consolation that she didn't have to suffer that.
