Somehow, ritual drunk-conversation concerning team captains for the apocalypse has become a major part of the lives of 20-somethings. Having been matured in the Grandaddy-crowned masterpiece film (put A.M. 180 on and forget that you have a job), 28 Days Later, were all a little too ready to deal with the 2012 of our dreams.

Yeah, but is it terminator proof?
THAT’s the real question!

From Max Brook’s (son of Mel Brooks) excellent book.

Cool. Thanks. I really hope the movie does come out some day.
The small substation and office facility down the street had some “renovations made to it. Visible is the new double gate at the driveway. And a concrete wall with “decorative” glass blocks placed at various positions along the wall. I’m guessing that the glass blocks can be removed. They had some other construction going on inside - and in my imagination I’m thinking “zombie proofing”.
I mentioned that to a neighbor that works for a dirt-hauling company. He said I was correct in my suspicions. The basement for this small electric substation and “office” now has five stories to it. Plunked down right in the neighborhood.
(1) They're making it rated PG. There is no way to make this any good at PG; even if you take out the zombie gore, the amount of violence and intensity of the action is high.
(2) The script I read, which admittedly is over 2 years old, was crap. It changed a central theme of the book to what I interpet as an anti-American shot, and did not put in some of the best stories (no downed pilot, and no submarines).
Quite frankly, this should be an HBO mini-series. Only way to do it justice.
I hope it does’t turn out like the remake of Red Dawn seems to have. PC all the way.
In the book, the big secret the interviewer uncovers is the implementation of the Redeker Plan. In the draft of the script I read, the big secret is that the U.S. military had the wrong battle plans for the Battle of Yonkers! How f---ing retarded. Wow, didn't put enough snipers in high spots, and had too many unprotected soldiers walking around (i.e., not in tanks or behind impenetrable barriers).
After what Hollywood/John Carpenter did to John Steakley's "Vampire$", I have zero faith in a good adaptation of a horror movie. Too many egotists want to put their own spin on it instead of going with what works.
No landmines?
Want.
With her eyes closed, water tickling the tips of her fingers, she could
conjure memories of a time before the bomb, before the zombies.
Not entirely perfect, but a pretty good start....
cool.
I see it’s a 12 gauge. what is it and where can I get one?
