It doesn’t surprise me a bit that Jodie Foster loves a Li’l Beaver.
The movie might be good. Its just too bad what Mel did to his life. There aren’t too many people like Foster that would stand up for someone like Mel or give him a second chance.

I never saw the movie, but the comment is based on the fact that HollyWeird does sell movie tickets largely on sex. That is what the reference was about.
I only vaguely remember something about this particular actress being a student in good standing at an Ivy league college. Or, perhaps it was another one. In any case, just an image on a screen as far as I can see.
The NYC branch of my family has a black sheep in the past - a script writer in Hollywood. It was a long time ago, but not something we talked about much. “Theatre people” and all that, you know.
