Her policy positions are spot on.
As for her voice, I agree, it’s annoying. Also the way she opened that speech over the weekend, “Hello Madison Wisconsin!!!!”, sounded more like a rock star than someone who wants to be president. She’s gotta at least try to look a little more presidential, because she’s not appealing to a large base of support right now.
And yet even more CRAPOLA
And who would that be? The stuffy old "dull as mud" GOP stogies like Krauthammer?
I think we all have a certain “image” of “presidential”. They must speak in a particular style, act a certain way. While people were told and believed 0bama was “different” the way he presented himself, he seemed an absolutely perfect version of every stereotype we’ve come to expect from a candidate, right down to pretty words and perfect delivery...a Stepford candidate. This was very easy to do with 0bama because he was an empty slate. He’s not anymore.
Change is exactly what we were looking for, a rebel who would turn things around and not be afraid to step out of the “perfect presidential caricature” (0bama was actually an uber version of the usual). The country was looking for a Reagan, someone who truly had a unique approach to life, with an unconventional but upbeat outlook. I guarantee this time we’d rather have someone whose warts are pretty much out there for all the world to see so there are no more surprises. How could we not be surprised by 0bama? We knew nothing about him.
And here comes Palin. She’s fresh, she says what’s on her mind. She’s fearless, energetic, and upbeat. The LSM has created a caricature of her just as they have of 0bama but when she’s out there that caricature will fall away as people get to know her without the filter. It’s SO obviousl the left is afraid of her. Like Rush says, “the left will always tell us who our candidate should be”.
Her love of country shines through her positive outlook is refreshing (and something we’re craving right now), she comes out and proudly declares our best days are ahead of us. And she believes it! That force of personality (what everyone who voted for 0bama thought they were getting because he “played one on TV”) CAN turn the country around because that positive outlook on life is infectious.
0bama’s entire presidency has been about making us feel bad about ourselves and the country is sick of it. We know we aren’t the evil, selfish people he (and the left in general) are trying to make us believe we are. It’s the same mood we had with Jimmy Carter. It won’t stand. One of the best things about Palin(that people who think conventionally see as a negative)is she’s a known quantity. She has no dirty laundry left. The thing is, her dirty laundry isn’t any different than what the rest of us have in our laundry basket.
We aren’t a conventional people regardless of what both sides say about the “sheeple”. Conventional got us where we are and we’re hungry for someone different, someone like us who knows what the solution is because it’s the same kinds of things we all talk about with each other. You can tell by the mood of the country that common sense is kicking in. Just because the majority of people don’t pay attention to politics doesn’t mean they don’t care about where their country is going.

Someone who was at the Madison rally said that she had to yell to be heard over the filthy communists and hippies who showed up to drown her out.
That said, I understand what you mean about her voice. I don’t think it’s her voice per se, that is annoying but her delivery style in which she raises her voice and talks fast — to sound enthusiastic, I suppose.
I can get past that because I really think she is exactly the president our country needs right now. But there are people who will be put off by the voice and not listen to the message. I hope she gets handlers who work on it with her.
