Where is the uprising of the people over the rising prices at the pump which is effecting everyone even if you don't drive. I visited a Sam's club today and paid on the average 10-30 % more for the same items that I normally purchase every 90-180 days. All this while our congress critters are globe trotting around the world with their wives and staff on our dime. If the President would open up drilling this would go away overnight...of course that won't happen...P O'd...you bet your sweet buns I am and so should all Americans! If every FReeper would contact their congress critter maybe we could start to see something happen...no guarantees but it beats sitting on our hands and doing nothing.
Don’t be silly It would be racist to be outraged
Its okay Osama is president!
If only the US were an oil-producing country ... oh wait ...
Righto. As long as a communist is in the white House nothing else matters.
While filling up, I curse Bush, Cheney and Halliburton for these &*#% high gas prices. Doesn’t do any good, but it tweaks liberal ears.
Express your rage in the voting booth!...Landslide the Kenyan Catastrophe out on his ass!
This is what happens when you live in a country as politically corrupt as this one where the two privileged parties are getting rich at your expense while pretending to care about you. We live in a kleptocracy.
Next time you visit, prices will be even higher percentagewise.
Obama blames speculators for high gasoline prices
(AFP) 1 day ago
ANNANDALE, Virginia US President Barack Obama blamed oil “speculators” on Tuesday for soaring gasoline prices that risk weighing down the US recovery and could dampen his 2012 election hopes.
“It is true that a lot of what’s driving oil prices up right now is not the lack of supply. There’s enough supply. There’s enough oil out there for world demand,” Obama said at a campaign-style event not far from Washington.
“The problem is, is that oil is sold on these world markets, and speculators and people make various bets, and they say, ‘you know what, we think that maybe there’s a 20 percent chance that something might happen in the Middle East that might disrupt oil supply,’” he said.
“’So we’re going to bet that oil is going to go up real high.’ And that spikes up prices significantly,” said the president, who recently launched his reelection campaign.
When I saw the actual video - with all the stuttering and stammering - I nearly puked.
This fool knows as much about the economics of why gasoline is higher as does the dog (bleep) in my back yard. Which reminds me... I gotta go scoop.
The Ghouls in the media and press are protecting Obama once again.
Remember when Bush was in office and it went to $3 a gallon and the media along with the press were going ballistic?
Now we have $4 to $5.00 a gallon and there is nothing but silence.
Really?
I’m guessing the idiot libs won’t see the irony. It’s only been 2 years since Bush. So - to them - It’ll still be Bush’s fault until the next Republican is elected.
“Now we have $4 to $5.00 a gallon and there is nothing but silence.”
Not quite silence. We’ve bee hearing that higher prices results in less driving which results in fewer accidents and less production of pollutants. Higher gas prices are the best thing to happen to us since the election of Obama.
Start Posting this everywhere...print it out and put it up at the gasoline pumps, on fence posts, street signs etc...
If you like the price of gasoline,
Thank an obama voter
Well, Zero...you could burst that bubble by announcing an aggressive drilling regimen in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico.
You know what else I noticed...?
When Bush was President, whenever the press referred to the price of a barrel of oil, they used the Brent Crude price.
Now that Obama is President, whenever the press refers to the price of a barrel of oil, they use the WTI crude price.
Guess what? Brent crude is *always* higher by 10+%.
Interesting.
“Gas Prices..where is the outrage”
Everybody is stitting on the fat asses whining...No time for anything else.
