NEW YORK A New Jersey woman was stabbed in the face with a pen on a New York City subway train after she tried to stop a man from lighting a cigarette. The assault occurred on a crowded No. 3 train near the Chambers Street station during Tuesday's morning rush. Witnesses told the Daily News and the New York Post that an argument quickly escalated when Evelyn Seeger asked the man not to smoke. The witnesses say two riders were trying to restrain the man when he pulled out a pen and slashed Seeger's face. Seeger, of Nutley, N.J., was treated at a hospital and released. Police charged the man with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

If the Smoking Po-Po were doing their job, this would never have happened.
Its about time one of these tobacco nazis got what was coming to them.
Hmmmm
But, seriously, don't eff with people you don't know and you'll lessen your risk that their reaction will be far more than you bargained for.
Please tell me you’re not serious.
Oh, please! You really think a crowded subway train is a proper place to smoke?
Carrying your Parker pen is criminal possession of a weapon. Leave it on your desk!
These people are too dim to pick up on cause and effect, or unintended consequences.
According to witnesses Cordero was attempting to light a cigarette on the busy downtown train just before it reached Chambers Street station when Mrs Seeger told him to stop.

But the argument quickly escalated. Mrs Seeger began yelling as Cordero allegedly produced a huge lighter and began waving a high flame in front of her face.
She tried to knock the lighter out of his hand before two men on the train intervened.
As they attempted to restrain Cordero, he allegedly pulled out a pen and slashed Mrs Seeger’s face right from her temple to her nose.
Ronethea Williams, one of the horrified commuters who witnessed the alleged attack, told the New York Daily News: ‘I looked up and the woman had blood gushing from her face. Someone yelled, “he stabbed her in the eye!’
She said: “We assumed it was a knife because of all the blood, but the woman was still fighting with the guy, trying to get the weapon out of his hand.’
Pandemonium broke out as passengers desperately tried to get out of the way.
Miss Williams, who wrote about the incident on her blog, said it was ‘the craziest train ride I’ve ever had.’
She told the Daily News: ‘I saw the flame from the lighter - it was a few inches high. It was pretty hardcore.’
The 27-year-old claimed: ‘She was in his face and he’s in her face He was lighting the flame in her face, taunting her with the flame, and she was yelling “stop it!”
Seeger, of Nutley, N.J.
Think on that for a while.
I was smoking a cigar on a bridge in my small home town when a fisher arrived and began griping that my smoke was bothering him. I finished the cigar and lit a new one. I did not pick his skinny self up and drop him into the water below. Remarkable self-restraint. Never considered pen-stabbing him.
If you own a legally registered gun in New Jersey, for example, and shoot somebody, you will be charged with criminal possession of a weapon. The action makes the possession criminal.
I’ll bet the perp was smoking an untaxed cigarette he bought in a bodega.
I guess I forgot my </sarc> tag.
But seriously, how stupid can anyone be to even TALK to a total stranger on a NYC subway, let alone tell ‘em to put their square out?
MANHATTAN CRIMINAL COURT A homeless man accused of slashing a woman in the face with a pen went ballistic after she asked him not to light up a marijuana joint on a busy morning rush hour 3 train, prosecutors said at his arraignment Wednesday.
“I was just trying to light my blunt and the b**ch wouldn’t leave me alone, so I hit her,” Coroberto Cordero told police after the attack, according to his criminal complaint.

Exactly. My motto has always been - Never do anything to get a reaction out of somebody unless you’re prepared for whatever reaction you might get.
It’s closely related to “Be polite. Be professional. But have a plan to kill everyone you meet.”
Is the pen mightier than the sword?
I was sitting right next to her but strangely, I didn't see a thing.......
This was an unfortunate and uncalled for assault over such a trivial incident that could have been avoided if the joisey broad had simply kept her big mouth shut..........
