For the past week my smoke detector (electric w. battery backup) has starting rapidly beeping at exactly the same time every day and then stops after 10 minutes. Twenty four hours later it starts again.
My batteries are new and this is one of 3 detectors. The others are fine.
The detectors are only 6 years old and were in this new building when I bought the condo.

Smart Meter. Big Brother is watching.
It’s a subliminal message from your husband or boyfriend. He needs more quality time with you.
Does it happen to be the time that your daughter is in the shower for 20 minutes?
Nothing lasts forever. Get a new one.
Possible large voltage fluctuations.
Ever see the movie, Poltergeist?
Was your house built over a graveyard?
I heard that newer Chinese detectors have an instruction printed on them stating “ For best results hold directly over flame.”
CIA installed camera is overheating, then shuts off.
Takes 23 hours and 50 minutes to overheat again.
Hit the snooze button. And then take your alarm clock off the wall and put the smoke detector back where it should be.
Mine always know when it's 3 in the morning.
If the detector is sophisticated enough, it may be running a self diagnostic and finding a problem. Try cleaning out the detector, especially the interior with the photoeye and mirror, with canned air. Keep the nozzle or straw of the canned air a few inches away from the detector as putting it too close can actually damage some parts.
I have a case of jock itch lately. Maybe I'll look for advice on FR.
First, RTFM. Then, what other events happen at those times? Near a factory, fire or police station, military base that might be radiating RF?
NSA, not CIA, and they fixed the overheating problems long before this model. During testing they are set to chirp during the daily data dump, but aren't supposed to after field installation.
Seriously, Are you sure the hard wired power is on? Could be it's running on the batteries.
I also had another thought. Some detectors have microchips that need to be reset when you replace a dead battery. You would have to check the manufacturer data to see if your smoke detector has a reset function.
Either way, a google of the smoke detector model number, or the trouble shooting section on the manufacturers web site may help.
Have you checked to make sure the batteries are installed correctly? Could reverse polarity cause a problem like this?

Teaspoon of bleach for 16oz of water. Clean area once a day and try not to get any of it on Mr. Johnson. Itch will go away in 2 days.
