If the adverts are to be believed there are a number of benefits to a Diet Coke break. And now research has discovered one more. Diet fizzy drinks and other artificially-sweetened beverages do not cause diabetes as previously thought, a study has shown.

BS...no soda, no way.
Dihydrogen oxide is even more deadly. EVERYONE who has drank it has died.
I bet they drank water too. Absent an accurate control group, there is no way to specify conclusively unless you had a group which consumed nothing but artificial sweeteners. Let's see the list of things that were bad for you, then good for you, then bad for you, then maybe not: Diet Soda... Coffee... Eggs...
Who paid for this study? I missed that part, although I see it came out of Harvard. (Like so much of the current administration...)
>>>Dihydrogen oxide is even more deadly. EVERYONE who has drank it has died.
That stuff is pure evil. It ought to be banned. It’s even more dangerous when frozen than in its natural state. And it can do serious damage as a gas too. Evil, evil stuff.
Indeed...spread the word.
Remember Tab? Better off drinking old dishwater...
“I take sucralose over sugar anytime”
Splenda is chlorinated sugar. Which means chlorine is chemically substituted for hydrogen-oxygen on the sucrose molecule.
Supposedly the chlorine passes through your body before being digested. Hopefully thats true because chlorine is a carcinogen.
Aspartame is made up of three components: phenylalanine, aspartic acid and methanol. That's it.
If you and Dr. Blaylock believe what you wrote then you and he must also believe that consuming chicken and grape juice (or apple juice, orange juice or tomato juice) will cause brain damage, Parkinson's, Rheumatoid arthritis, Gehrig's disease and cancer.
Phenylalanine: Chicken (4oz) - 1130 mg
Phenylalanine: Diet Code (12 oz) - 90 mg
Aspartic Acid: Chicken (4oz) - 2570 mg
Aspartic Acid: Diet Coke (12oz) - 72 mg
Methanol: Grape Juice (12oz) - 65 mg
Methanol: Diet Coke (12oz) - 18 mg
Fear of aspartame may help Dr. Blaylock sell books, but it doesn't make much sense.
Yeah cause we know the people pushing these Frankenstein foods would never lie.
Why do these three things cause disease when found in a can of Diet Coke but not when consumed from the foods where they occur naturally? It doesn't make sense just like Dr. Blaylock's claims.
Are they really the same? Not according to the research I’ve done.
Sugar isn’t the problem. Its eating too much sugar that is the problem. Dump the man made junk and eat real food.
“Aspartame has caused a lot of problems for a lot of people.”
Actually I posted too soon; I do acknowledge it is not good for those “phenylketonurics,”; there are those who have difficulty with aspartame.
Then again I have close relatives with severe corn allergies and severe milk allergies, so they can have no corn product (exhaustive) or milk products (unless they use lactaid); still I don’t think corn or milk are evil, and I use a lot of both.
Chicken is a Frankenstein food?
Consuming too much of anything can be bad for you. People die from drinking too much water. As with everything, moderation is the key.
As posted previously Aspartame is made up of three chemicals. Aspartic Acid 40%, Phenylalanine, 50%, and Methanol, 10%.
Aspartic Acid has much the same effect on the body as MSG. They act as neurotransmitters in the brain. Too much of these can damage the cells by over stimulating the cells and causing cell damage.
Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid. Excessive Phenylalanine has been found to cause depression, headaches, mood swings, schizophrenia, rage, and in some cases brain damage. (according to a Neurologist) All this in people who are not considered to have PKU. How much does it take? One man who drank 6-8 cans of diet coke a day was found to have brain damage after seeing a neurologist. Phenylalanine does exist in most protein rich foods but those break down differently within the body.
Methanol breaks down into formic acid and formaldehyde in the body. nuff said
Could this all be a bunch of quackery? Perhaps, but I don’t see a reason to ingest any more poisons into my body than necessary. Much is not known about how these chemicals interact within the body.
“You get many times more of these three from the foods you eat every day than you do from a can of Diet Coke.”
Not in the same form. To say so is disingenuous at best.
“As with everything, moderation is the key.”
yes after all a little formaldehyde never hurt anyone, right?
Considering the way most chickens are grown, most of them are frankenfood, but not because they have particular amino acids.
What you are saying may all be true but see the previous poster who listed far higher levels of these supposedly dangerous chemicals in such things as milk, chicken, eggs, etc.
Having all those diseases listed as side effects of aspartame according to One Neuroligist is not alarming in my book. You can get anyone, even with the highest degrees, to say or believe anything.
I believe basically in large, double blind studies done by disinterested and reputable parties.
None exist that prove the health effects you are claiming.
“One man who drank 6-8 cans of diet coke a day was found to have brain damage after seeing a neurologist. “
This proves nothing. I have known people with many different cancers, brain damages, etc., and plenty of them were not diet soda drinkers.
You may ask, why drink it if there is a possibility of a risk? Because there is a possibility of a risk with EVERYTHING. There is for example junk in our drinking water. Water you buy is often found to be higher in this bacteria or that chemical than what comes out of the tap. Etc. There is no perfect, pure food or drink. Not even mother’s milk! So to demonize this that or the other thing is foolish.
Unless there is really serious evidence shown, as I say, by a large double blind study by a disinterested party -
for example, a double blind study on drinking used motor oil would absolutely and definitely prove that it is toxic, also various pathogens, bleach, any number of items -
I refuse to give in to this. One can write a critique of any substance known to man. And they often do. It’s hysteria.
BS site a source (and one that's not a health food nutjob left leaning bunch of feel good crap)
