LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles County health officials say the bacteria that causes Legionnaires' disease was found in a hot tub at the Playboy Mansion where scores of people became ill after attending a fundraiser in February.

The Los Angeles Times says health officials presented their findings Friday at an annual conference at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta.

A lot of my TV colleagues have shot various reality shows at the Playboy Mansion, and reports are the whole place is a time capsule that’s rapidly falling apart. Dingy draperies and tattered carpets that haven’t been replaced since the seventies. Decrepit filthy furniture. Everything smells like smoke. And since the live-in “girlfriends” all have their own little purse dogs (untrained), there’s dog poop everywhere.

When you gross out grips and camera guys, that’s really saying something.
