Soros Connections

OK - I have fairly frequent discussions with a more liberal acquaintance and whenever she needs a fallback she starts in about the evil "Koch borthers". I have heard this name is passing, but have no idea why they are evil to the libs Can anyone please quickly fill me in?
They’re not evil. Just fire George Soros back at the lib... tell them you’ll take them seriously when they say something bad about Soros.
The liberal masters told them that the Koch brothers are evil. Its that simple.

The Democrats know that they have such people (Soros, Saudis, etc.) and so they assume that we must have them too.
They are libertarian conservatives who own/run a large corporate group based in Kansas and support conservative causes.
the are donors to conservative causes.
Thus to liberals they are “evil”
In lala libland, free speech and freedom of political preference is only free if you are liberal and thus progressive
I believe Koch is being targeted (among others) by “Organizing for America”- check it out. This operation is run out of the white house or in direct contact with the marxist inner core of the white house (Valerie Jarret, David Plouffe et al)
Liberals don't carry in depth knowledge. They have talking points. Question them and they fall apart.
They own Georgia Pacific,employee thousands of Americans in US unionized plants. In fact, they are so commited to staying in the US they are pouring half a billion dollars into modernizing their plants.
Soros on the other hand, feeds nobody but the members of all the liberal “think tanks” he funds.
I think the Koch brothers strategy is likely one cooked up by Soros because the spotlight on Soros himself was getting too bright.
Why don’t you ask your acquaintance? The answer should be enlightening.
Well, I have done this several times. :-) Today, for example, the topic was income taxes and her position is that “only the poor pay taxes” So after I dismantled that she brought the Koch Brothers up I said “who are they and what do that have to do with this discussion?”
I did - haven’t received anything substantive as yet. :-)
The left’s been trying to find a boogeyman for a while now. Their last attempt was the Chamber of Commerce but that bombed so now they’ve moved on to the Kochs.
I did get some gibberish about deregulation in California but have no clue what that is about.

They trade in coal (C.Reiss) and oil (pipelines) and paper (Georgia Pacific - owned by many pensions) and use their personal wealth to stand up for free market capitalism (Americans for Prosperity). In Wisconsin they employ thousands.

I worked for Koch for 16 years. Charles and David are builders, not takers.
