The surprise generated by the throwing of Donald Trump's hat into the ring of 2012 presidential hopefuls is in part based upon his relative wealth, and professional and social status. He certainly needs no political clout to better command any situation he chooses, so that can't be his motivation.
In part it is based upon his own unchallenged political history, having donated to both Republicans and Democrats over the years. While his donations number fairly evenly between the two, he has been more generous with Democrats, who also seem better to mirror his personal lifestyle.
The heads that are scratched the most vigorously are those owned by the cognescenti aware of his past, and recent, associations wirth George Soros... a man many believe to be a major string-puller behind much of the Obama puppet Administration.
All of these facets are worthy of discussion and even disagreement. There are plenty of openly available resources for arguing both sides of any of the rationale raised above here. With one glaring exception:
If there is even the slightest scintilla of a chance that Trump could prove to be aught but another bit player in the myriad machiavellian orchestrations perpetrated by George Soros over the years, with the sole goal of manipulating the surrender of a soveriegn United States to his dream of a coming "New World Order," is there any reason at all to even consider voting for him?
The liklihood of The Donald agreeing to playing pawn in a Soros end-game could well go up exponentially if the lucre and position offered by Soros in return were significant enough, as Donald has never made any bones about his avarice or greed. Further, there is little Soros would likely be unwilling to sacrifice to see the U.S., the final and most difficult stumbling-block in his path to a One World solution, swept off of the playing board in a single coup-de-gras.
Again, despite that the evidence is almost all circumstantial and anecdotal, the only way taking such a risk on such a unknown quantity with such obvious opportunity for ulterior motives would be if there were no other possible candidate out there who would do a better job. No other contender on the horizon with a proven history of accomplishing remarkable successes in short timeframes against significant odds.
The fact is America has another such opportunity, with far more dependable conservaTIVE credentials, who has never donated one penny to a Liberal cause, or spent one evening rubbing shoulders with "Spooky Dude" Soros.
Given all the above, supporting Trump would be a fools errand, even if it didn't result in checkmate. Which it clearly could.

Most of his business is done in New York and New Jersey. It only stands to reason that he'd end up donating more to the Democrats who have always run them.
This is an interesting post, though. Now we have a conspiracy theory about a conspiracy theorist. This could get interesting (and ridiculous).
Yes, we are all aware of the Alinskyite Liberal Tactic of ridiculing a dangerous opponent to lessen his chances of upseting your game plan. Interesting to note that you're an even bigger Alinsky acolyte.
Thanks. Your Freudian Slip is showing again.
;-\
Funny, I thought Johnathan Swift was born BEFORE Alinsky was. Silly me - I didn't realize Alinsky invented it. Damn, need to brush up on my history of political discourse.
Oh, now the feigned humility mixed in with a dollop of bonhomie... Sweet.
You give yourself too much credit. First, this costs me almost nothing. Second, you make an easy target, not to mention how much I appreciate all the "bumps" you keep giving my well-written FRarticle.
Engarde! Regardez la Réine!

(_8(|) Doh!!!
Hmmmm.....

bump for the guy's free article - worth every penny
Seriously, he's being given the kid glove treatment compared to Sarah's ceaseless trashing. Especially when you consider that he's made the central theme of his assault O'Buttwad's sore spot, the Birth Certificate, I'm kind of amazed at how relatively tame the Misleadia response has been.
If he gets one-tenth of the venomous attack that Palin has, he'll probably fold up like a lawn chair. It ain't gonna happen, though. The Lefty response is porportional to the threat perceived, and I don't think they equate him on the same threat-level as Palin... nor should they.
She has already repeatedly proven that she can win tough elections, even at very long odds. Not so "The Hairdo."

Just to put it in comparison, here is Rudy's policy chart.
..and Bill Clinton's chart
From ontheissues.org He is way closer to Bill Clinton than he is someone we all agree is a RINO. Heck, on a straight right/left paradigm, he is almost identical to Bill Clinton.
Just a couple links re Trump/Soros financial ties.

This FRarticle could turn out to be the most explosive exposé of the new millenium.
Just damn.

Oh, boy. I just heard on Fox Trump says if he can’t win the republican nomination he will likely run as and Independent!
Holy smokes, I may end up eating crow on this deal!
I don’t really want Trump to run and don’t beleive he fits the presidential role at all. I’m just thankful he’s had the guts to go after the Obama fraud.
If he did anounce a possible run as a independent his polling numbers should drop like a rock. He should know the repubs are still keenly aware of what Perot did to us.
I don’t see Soros parting with a couple of thousand for Trump.
You're right.
What on earth was I thinking?
;-\
If he actually becomes legitimate which I doubt, running on the Birth certificate is a complete fail. Nope, my biggest hope is someone, anyone but Obama that is not tied to the maddening left agenda. If the birth certificate thing is still an issue into the running for totus’ second term we the people are going to have four more year of this gi=oon( Oburkha) tearing more holes in America. My hope it Trump with his money might put a few issues to rest but even with all his money I doubt he can blast into a document safe( Oburkha’s real B-cert) more heavily guraded( as is all his past)that is seeming more impossible to get a glimpse than Fort Knox’s gold.
Just the secrecy of his past is suspect but people SEARCHING for the truth are made to be complete idiots by both left and most all right folks, so, no, Trump is getting his 15 hours( he’s rich, he gets more time) of more fame but would be smart to fire himself unless he really does have some grandiose idea of making the WH his for four years..he’d probably be a 5% independent ticket like Nader or someone.JMHO
There is nothing in Trump’s history that makes me think he would sell out his country.
Neither, however, is there anything in Soros' history that would indicate his willingness to do hundreds-of-millions of dollars worth of business with any man who would stand directly between him and his life's single-greatest ambition.
My writings here do not assert that this treachery is something Trump will do.
The article asserts that if there is the slightest scintilla of a chance that Trump might be persuaded to so behave, for as much as a $Billion or more, then there is no reason on God's green earth to vote for him.
There are simply much better choices out there who face no such temptation, and for whom executive governing won't be a "learn on the job" fiasco like it has been with O'Bunghole.
Too much at stake for any more risk-taking with our selection. Tested and proven is the only way to go.
;-\
Asinine. As the wealthiest candidate, Trump is the least likely to be perverted by money from Soros or anyone else. Your concerns are much better directed toward a Pawlenty, Barbour, or even Romney.

There is nothing in Trumps history that makes me think he would sell out his country.
If he runs as an Independent alternative to the Republican nominee and siphons off enough votes to allow an Øbama victory, he will be selling out his country.
