"The Donald"... A Potential Soros Stalking Horse?
FreeRepublic ^ | Tuesday, April 12, 2011 | Gargantua

The surprise generated by the throwing of Donald Trump's hat into the ring of 2012 presidential hopefuls is in part based upon his relative wealth, and professional and social status. He certainly needs no political clout to better command any situation he chooses, so that can't be his motivation.

In part it is based upon his own unchallenged political history, having donated to both Republicans and Democrats over the years. While his donations number fairly evenly between the two, he has been more generous with Democrats, who also seem better to mirror his personal lifestyle.

The heads that are scratched the most vigorously are those owned by the cognescenti aware of his past, and recent, associations wirth George Soros... a man many believe to be a major string-puller behind much of the Obama puppet Administration.

All of these facets are worthy of discussion and even disagreement. There are plenty of openly available resources for arguing both sides of any of the rationale raised above here. With one glaring exception:

If there is even the slightest scintilla of a chance that Trump could prove to be aught but another bit player in the myriad machiavellian orchestrations perpetrated by George Soros over the years, with the sole goal of manipulating the surrender of a soveriegn United States to his dream of a coming "New World Order," is there any reason at all to even consider voting for him?

The liklihood of The Donald agreeing to playing pawn in a Soros end-game could well go up exponentially if the lucre and position offered by Soros in return were significant enough, as Donald has never made any bones about his avarice or greed. Further, there is little Soros would likely be unwilling to sacrifice to see the U.S., the final and most difficult stumbling-block in his path to a One World solution, swept off of the playing board in a single coup-de-gras.

Again, despite that the evidence is almost all circumstantial and anecdotal, the only way taking such a risk on such a unknown quantity with such obvious opportunity for ulterior motives would be if there were no other possible candidate out there who would do a better job. No other contender on the horizon with a proven history of accomplishing remarkable successes in short timeframes against significant odds.

The fact is America has another such opportunity, with far more dependable conservaTIVE credentials, who has never donated one penny to a Liberal cause, or spent one evening rubbing shoulders with "Spooky Dude" Soros.

Given all the above, supporting Trump would be a fools errand, even if it didn't result in checkmate. Which it clearly could.

I just don't see the vig in buying what this self-admitted snake-oil pusher is selling. If his heart is pure in this one instance, it would almost be a first.

He gave a substantial donation to Rahm’s Chicago campaign. I would have lived with the BC issue, but the “I am a Christian” declaration gave me the “Scott Brown, is this guy for real” sentiment. Meaning he is saying the things I want to hear yet in the end, he’ll throw us all under the bus like what Scott Brown did.

Heh. In the end, he’s peaking right now. People forget it’s a marathon and that’s why Palin and Romney are quiet. Why stick your head out right now when the MSM is ready to assassinate you?

Months for now, we might have Herman Cain as primary winner so who knows.

If he goes third party to split the conservative vote, we’ll have our answers

I recall a recently re-printed Forbes article stating The Donald is not nearly as rich as he wants us to believe. He can be bought.

I like this.
Maybe Trump can drum up a few front pages whilst Glenn Beck looks for a new gig. Trump may never come close to president but he has oodles more money and can wreak havoc on Soros, Media Matters, or start his own 60 person anti-Soros/Oburkha agenda. I wish we could STOP totus in his blasted tracks.

But he keeps doing more and more stupid a###d thing on a near daily basis. There has never been a president I’ve felt has done not ONE thing right, not one.
Sadly with intense anger I must agree Oburkha is thee person any real American should despise because he’s done nothing nut tear apart this country. Maybe Trump can finance a little bit and find a few flaws in the nobel peace prize winners purged past.

I'm pretty sure the nomination is Palin's to give away. If she doesn't run, there are a few with a real shot at it, given the awakened state of awareness of the Sleeping Giant/Tea Party/Middle America.

If she decides to run, it's game over. All over but fumigating and re-decorating the Oval Office.

And I’m sure you’ll love it when he uses the birth-certificate thing to run third party and become Perot II.

Yeah, he's one leveraged building leaning on another re-structured corporation with a few well-publicized bankruptcies for a foundation. I wouldn't doubt that Soros it the actual wallet behind his front corporations.

It only takes someone to put it to Trump if he has any association/dealings with Soros. You should contact Trump as I will be doing pronto.

I find it hard to believe that Trump will take a dive for Soros so Obama can win re-election.

His ego is too big for that.

You guys are way over thinking this. Trump gives to democrats so he can get his permits. That's just the way the game is played. Just like many corporations give to both parties. Trump gives more to Dems because they've infested the nations cities. He is, however a patriot. He's smart enough to know that the Dems are going to destroy the country and it's time to quit playin around. Use your judgment and stop the Soros/plant conspiracy crap.

Obama is a fraud and you guys want to look a gift horse in the mouth. Wake up.

Exactly. You give money in Chicago to grease wheels as a business expense. Nothing ideological about it. Sometimes you write checks to both sides. Hedge your bets.

Trump is serving a purpose — he’s taking the heat. He’s setting the issues out that Americans care about. He’s the only one with the balls to go after the birth certificate/NBC issue while others wilt. (Why do they care what the MSM says about them? Jon Leibo- Stewart going to make fun of them? So what?)

If Trump comes up with evidence that forces Obama out of office in Watergate-esque shame, he’ll forever be a personal hero to every Republican.

The Republican field is weak. Best and brightest (Rubio, Ryan) are eight years off from being contenders. Romney doesn’t offer much contrast to ObamaCare. Huckabee is a Republican Jimmy Carter — nice guy but he’d get run over on the world stage.

The ladies? America is still a sexist country. Hillary couldn’t beat a guy with 180 days experience as a U.S. Senator. MSM bash women as “weak” “stupid” etc. and leftist women say nothing. A 60 year old+ battle ax Thatcher-type would have a shot. Don’t see one of those running.

Trump may be it. If he ran and said, “Give me 4 years to clean up the mess and I’m done. I can’t afford to be president longer than that.” I think he’d have a good shot.

Ex-wives, nasty divorces, the people hurt when the Taj filed bankruptcy. Yes, there’s baggage.

Americans know the economy is screwed and $14 trillion in debt (4 trillion on Obama’s watch) means we need drastic steps. Trump can also isolate himself from “return to Bush era” by attacking Bush.

Do we want someone ideologically sound or someone that can beat Obama?

What makes you think I’m into a Soros conspiricy crap thing as to Trump? If a question is raised go get an answer just like Trump is doing for questions about Obama. Now there is a conspiricy I can buy into. I do admit to having very short acceptance of truth from the lips of politicians.

What a total smear job. I don’t like this. It stinks to high heaven. Death by innuendo. Fie on this kind of dirty trick.

My theory has always gone thus:

1) Whatever is on Obama's BC (or if there even exists a BC) Linda Lingle, Gov of Hawaii in 2008, knows the real skinny completely.

2) Linda Lingle is best friends with Sarah Palin, therefore,

3) Sarah Palin knows the true skinny about Obama's BC.

So... Could Donald Trump be a stalking horse for Sarah Palin?

Is Trump, purely motivated by the grim economic outlook for the USA - which HE has to try to do deals in - simply insuring Obama loses in 2012 by giving Sarah the political cover she needs to file her OWN Supreme Court suit?

Sarah, if anyone, would have legal standing because she can prove she was injured if there was Election Fraud in 2008. Thoughts?

sklar, IMHO, your theory is very interesting...

I don't think Trump would be liking the idea of wasting hundreds of millions of his own money trying to get elected then failing. He has been in tight money spots before, I'm sure he's not looking to blowing money.

If he runs, he would have to be very sure he was winning. He would probably also like the idea of significantly helping her - or anyone - win, where he was the key ingredient. It would give him a reputation boost of literally historical proportions, while for either 4 or 8 years giving him that golden access that so many communists now enjoy in the WH.

He has said he will announce by June 1.

It is perhaps among my greatest personal shortcomings, I admit, that finds it quite difficult for me to acccept that Trump might be doing anything quite so noble. In fact, he might.

But it's one hell of a stretch, and far less likely than my own obscure proposal.
